Background We are in our early 60's, still in work and with the exception of a couple of common health issues that are well controlled, we are very mobile. We enjoy all manner of holidays including but not limited to villa holidays, city breaks and cruises (with the very occasional camping trip thrown in) We tend to go with the flow, we don't feel we are demanding or high maintenance and ...

I was not a seasoned cruiser , I had only been on a Carnival, Holland America , Oceana , Windstar , Regent and One River Cruise . We decided to do the Ireland Intensive and one more to France , Portugal and Spain . It wound up being Twenty Seven Back To Backs on the Quest . We did Ireland, France, Portugal, Spain , Malta , Bali, New Zealand, Australia , Greece twice , all the way to Singapore , ...

Review for a U.S.A. Cruise on Pearl Mist

When we booked our Pearl Seas cruise in March of 2022 the latest reviews were dated before the pandemic and, while they were mixed, there were several 5* ratings so we thought we’d give it a try. I checked back before our August sailing date and found nothing but negative comments. So, we prepared ourselves to be disappointed. Fortunately, our reality was very different. We were pleased that ...

Great Way to see the Great Lakes

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Viking Octantis

I'm an experienced independent world traveler and this was my 59th cruise. Always wanted to visit the Great Lakes by ship, and this was my first Viking Expedition cruise. If the food had been better, I'd have rated five for the cruise. Viking's lovely advertising is about 98% true as far as the gorgeous ship and quality of the experience. There were some glitches after the initial booking ...

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Riviera

We chose this cruise to be with friends, and for the opportunity to visit ports and countries in the Mediterranean for the first time. We boarded in Barcelona, sailed for 17 nights, and disembarked in Malta. We unfortunately caught covid two days before the end of the cruise, and had to quarantine onboard, and for an additional week in Malta. Oceania did not handle this issue completely to our ...

First impressions excellent we did door to door was collected from home, transfer to airport, transfer from airport to hotel and transfer from hotel to cruise port and check in all went seamlessly. Bonjour Ponant

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Le Jacques Cartier

First, let me say that I really enjoyed my 9 day cruise on Ponant’s Le Jacques Cartier. The trip started in Istanbul and ended in Venice. It’s a luxury cruise line and much to my liking, it caters to the small passenger market. I believe there were 164 or so passengers on the cruise. So it creates an environment that caters to meeting people and moving about at an easy pace. None of the facilities ...

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Queen Victoria

A trip on Cunard had been on my bucket list for some time, after recently losing a couple of close friends way to early in their lives we decided it was time to start to realise some of our dreams before it was too late. As DH was very apprehensive about Cunard being too 'posh' and 'stuffy' we decide on short 7nt cruise on QV to the Fjords (QV221) long enough to warrant the long slog down south to ...

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Viking Sky

This cruise was booked and paid for in 2018, then canceled and delayed due to Covid. Needless to say, we were thrilled to finally be experiencing this highly anticipated vacation. And Viking met or exceeded our expectations, mostly. The ship itself is stunning - tastefully decorated and beautifully laid out. There was absolutely no sign of any wear and tear, at least to us, as other reviewers ...
