Who goes on Peregrine Adventures cruise ships?

The adventure cruises attract a mix of European, North American, Australian and New Zealand travelers, mostly in their 40s, 50s and 60s. The main language onboard is English. Solo cruisers are welcome but will have to pay a single supplement for a cabin. Some sailings have an age limit of 7 years old or older.

Do I have to dress up on a Peregrine Adventures cruise?

Peregrine sailings are casual, and you are never required to dress up. You may want to bring one nicer outfit, such as a sundress or a shirt with a collar, for the captain's dinner, or if you plan to dine off the ship at a local restaurant.

Is everything free on Peregrine Adventures cruises?

No. Your cruise fare includes accommodations, meals (either half or all, depending on your itinerary), the service of local guides and, on some cruises, use of snorkel and fishing gear. Excursions are included on some itineraries but not on others -- Always check when booking. Extra costs include alcoholic drinks, Wi-Fi, gratuities and laundry.

What are Peregrine Adventures’s most popular activities?

Peregrine Adventures is all about cultural immersion in smaller, out-of-the way ports, and the most popular activities are those that occur off the ship. On sailings in which the shore excursions are included, these will always be the most popular. On other sailings, passengers will explore on their own, pay for extra-fee excursions, go shopping or eat out, or simply hang out on the ship and relax.

All ships have either a platform or a ladder at the back of the boat for swimming (no pool), so you can easily slip into the water on hot days. On some cruises, there's snorkel gear, fishing equipment, kayaks and stand-up paddle-boards.

Why go with Peregrine Adventures?

Small groups of no more than 50 cruisers

Best for: Those who love intimate adventures shared with just a handful of fellow travelers

Not for: Cruisers who want all their meals and shore activities included, or crave nighttime production shows and organized daily activities
