We chose this cruise due to the departure port (Vancouver) for a quick getaway. Vancouver to LA (stops in Astoria, Santa Barbara, San Diego).
Weather in Vancouver was perfect for sail-away, and it's always great fun to leave under the Lion's Gate Bridge. The seas were like glass the entire cruise.

We thought it was a simple and easy getaway from Vancouver. Down the coast to Santa Barbara, CA then to San Diego and home from LA. The Food was so poor in quality, temperature, and presentation. I chose this itinerary because I was on a B2B2B. I boarded the Radiance on 9/23 for the 11 night Hawaii and stayed on 10/4 for the 2nd Hawaiian cruise and decided to stay on for this 10/15 Pacific Coast cruise. Always a fan of HAL until now. In 25 plus cruise I don't think I ever send a meal back. Cold food in the buffet, sent back MD breakfast 2x, Pinnacle fish once. Buffet out of green tea.
