We wanted a cruise with interesting destinations and the Baltic/Russia itinerary was perfect as the ports themselves were mostly significant and interesting which meant that there was no need to book an expensive tour. We visited all the major capital cities.
The ship was a mind boggling experience for the first couple of days. The sheer size of it ( although today that would not be a large ...
We chose this cruise due to the locations and our previous experience of Royal Caribbean.
Our embarkation was good only taking about 15 mins to check in, clear security and step aboard the ship.
The ship has benefitted from some recent refurbishment but areas are looking a little tired and in need of some minor maintenance.
Dining was reasonably good with the quality in the Windjammer ...
We (2 couples) chose this cruise to return from a European vacation rather than fly back to the US. We knew the cruise would be very formal but as one English passenger said when I queried him about his experience on the 2nd day of the cruise, "They are quite serious".
LIkes: We booked the Brittania Club, therefore we had our own private dining table for four each night with the same servers. ...
We chose the Breakaway because we had already sailed on the Escape and Getaway. The Breakaway unfortunately was not as nice. It needs some renovations to modernize. We only went twice to the main dining room, the other nights were at different specialty restaurants. The main dining room service was very slow. The food was fine but after sitting for two hours we had to leave. We didn't get one of ...
I chose this cruise for the ports and excursions. For me, the ship is often just a means of getting to excursions. I plan my excursion so that they are all different and hopefully unique, with a mix of active and less active tours. That was difficult to do on this trip, as two of our five excursions were cancelled at the last minute, forcing us to scramble for others.
The entertainment was ...
Always having done beach 5/6 star holidays, my wife and decided on doing something different this, so we chose a cruise. Never done one before, didn’t know what to expect.
Royal Caribbean - Vision of the Seas - 12 night cruise of the Mediterranean. Full Board, which we found out is not the same as All Inclusive. We opted for all found, I.e include flights and another stay over in Barcelona at ...
I chose this cruise for the islands that it offered. I was extremely upset to find out the one of the islands was changed. Even thou Puerto Rico was "ok" it wasn't close to St.Maarten.
That was extremely disappointing.
The food was fantastic nice variety. There should have been more food available late at night for alcohol consumption.
The staff was great!
My sheets were disgusting ...
Grade for cruise "C" would only pick NCL if Princess/RCCL/Disney didn't have similar line up, passable but bottom of the pack.
Picked the Star for the port lineup; 6 ports in 7 days, can't beat that ( Kotor, Corfu, Santorini, Mykonos, Argostoli, and Dubrovnick
Loved the Freestyle dining and on ship good service was very good and low upsell, get high ratings for this!
Sadly found the ...
We chose this cruise because Port of NO is a great very fast port to use. It was worth the 8 hour drive to NO instead of fighting all the traffic that would’ve been in FL. Getting on and off were as easy as walking out to my mailbox. We were the only cruise at the port which is probably why. $22 a day to park was really freaking pushing it but again my car from the boat was like walking to my ...
We went as a family of 10 on a cruise to Canada/New England and this was our first times cruising. The ship was pretty but not as equipped for children but that was ok. We expected that. I am also a travel agent so I knew this was a smaller ship. We had so many issues with our children's Set Sail passes being deactivated and my husband's picture being changed on his pass. We visited Guest Services ...
