Tired Ship, Erratic Crew, Poor Entertainment

Review for a Trans-Ocean Cruise on Sapphire Princess

Ports of Call were our main reason for choosing this cruise. Ship was tired. Many unhosted events. Some of the guests were voluntary speakers onboard. Crew service was brilliant in some areas and woeful with attitude in other areas. Many crew seemed as though they didn’t want to be there. I am convinced Phillippino crew are the best. Entertainment was downright poor, Cabin was ...

Great itinerary,ship crowded and under-staffed

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on MSC Musica

We chose the cruise for the itinerary and the price. Itinerary was great, and we had many wonderful experiences and memories from the various ports. Especially loved Kator, Montenegro and Corfu. The ship, however, was full to overcrowded, and there were long lines for food at the buffet almost always. The layout of the buffet areas was horrible, and contributed to the long lines for food. ...

MSC MUSICA 25TH MARCH 2018 FROM VENICE

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on MSC Musica

I travelled with daughter, son in law and granddaughter and flew from Dublin to Venice. A private transfer from the airport to the ship had been arranged by our travel agent. Embarkation went very smoothly and quickly, helped by the fact I had requested assistance due to mobility problems. We had two adjoining cabins on deck 9 with the Fantastica Package. The cabins were very spacious with ...

I am a Viking fan - river boat fan, not so much ocean - a minority opinion.

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Viking Sky

Most people love the Viking Ocean ships - I am in the minority. We have been on 5 Viking river boat cruises so obviously we really like Viking river. I brought the hype for the Viking Ocean and booked the Italian Sojourn. The Viking Sky is OK but no way would I call it luxury but the prices are. I was only able to book a "superior cabin" at a much higher price but the cabin was exactly the ...

Below Expectation

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Viking Sky

Overall, this was a good cruise. However, we were in an Explorer Suite, which commands a significant price premium, on an already premium-priced line. And this is where the Viking experience began to break down IMO. I have done approximately 20 cruises, and found myself most comfortable on Celebrity, and Holland America — traveling in Royal Suites on the former, and Neptune Suites on the ...

Nice cruise in the Adriatic, Ionian, and Aegean Seas

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Viking Star

I read the review of the same cruise that another person wrote and It is interesting the differences experienced by travelers on the same cruise. I will say that this is one of the longest critiques I have ever written on a cruise. We have cruised on four different cruise lines and have taken many cruises over the last few years. We are mainly destination cruisers and don't participate in ...

I chose this ship because of the amazing itinerary. The ports were wonderful.. had and a great time visiting Greece, Italy, France, Malta and Barcelona. However let me start off by saying, my entrance into the ship felt like I was at a timeshare meetjng. They ushered us into the bar/reception area and proceeded to try to sell us a drink package. They were very persistent even when told NO!! The ...

'Cunard cough' dampens golden wedding anniversary experience

Review for a Transpacific Cruise on Queen Elizabeth

My husband and I were passengers on the Queen Elizabeth for the San Francisco to Sydney Cruise which took place on February 5, 2018 to February 28, 2018 to celebrate our 50th Wedding Anniversary. This was meant to be a trip of a lifetime. We are both in our mid/end-70’s and generally in good health, up to date with our vaccines, and pride ourselves on our immune strengthening nutrition. We truly ...

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Queen Elizabeth

Queen elizabeth no 801 23rd dec 2017 - 7th jan 2018. I am a regular passenger with cunard but i had a real problem with my cabin on this cruise. I was in cabin 6182, an inside cabin. I was traveling as a single person so had to pay the supplement for that grade. I think this cabin is not even fit for one person, most certainly not two. There is no desk space the way the cabin is configured at ...

STANDARDS DROPPING?

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Queen Elizabeth

User Avatar

This was our first time on Queen Elizabeth having cruised with Cunard five times in the past three years. Our inside cabin on Deck 4 (Aft) was fine, as was the service from Edgar, our Room Steward. The entertainment programme was nowhere near as good as that previously experienced, particularly the Theatre shows. The first nights show was particularly poor-no headline act, and the Royal Cunard ...
