Missed an island, ended up on the boat for three days with too many activities to do. I Had an allergic reaction on the boat and went to rje infirmary which I was disappointed in caus they seemed to care more about getting the money before treating me. it was like pulling teeth just to get some benadryl and the first thing they did was ask for payment for the benadryl even tho I was in ...
Well, I have had this cruise booked for over a year as soon as the schedule for her came out with Caribbean cruises. She looked amazing when you checked out the advertisements. She was only sailing for three weeks before we went on her.
Originally I had booked a mini-suite on deck 8 and it was pricey but we had a lot of perks including free gratuities, $300.00 OBC, 250 minutes of WiFi and ...
First the Good. The hard working Celebrity staff remain impeccable in terms of warmth, hospitality, friendliness, and professionalism. The ship is going into Dry Dock in January for a total makeover, but it was absolutely spotless. The public areas both inside and out were well maintained. Because we were in an AquaSpa cabin, we ate in the Blu Dining Room which we enjoyed. The Maitre'D, hostess ...
We chose this cruise because of the cost which included $50 deposit, drink packages and kids sail free. We traveled as a family of 11 which all but two of us (me & husband) were first time cruisers. This cruise was our second Norwegian cruise. First was last November Mediterranean on the Epic. Not thrilled with this ship at all. But we thought that this would be different as it was a Caribbean ...
This was our first time on Norwegian and it will be our last! We'll go back to cruising the Carnival Corps lines.
If we'd known we had to tender in two of the four ports, we never would have booked this cruise. There was no notice about tendering and the process in Roatan was totally unacceptable. Tenders were loaded without regard to how slowly the unloading would be. We bobbed in the water ...
As a regular carnival cruiser I was so disappointed in this last cruise on the Horizon. Air did not work correctly ANYWHERE on ship, water dripping from ceiling everywhere including while using restroom, playing in casino and sitting in dining room, food selections were slim and sub standard compared to last cruises, public bathroom were poorly marked, door locks didn’t work and common areas were ...
Cruising on Carnival use to have a touch of elegance...it does no more with the Horizon.
Small walkways, small outdoor steps -enough for 1 way travel. Some board of suits somewhere decided it's all about the P/L. So sad to see Carnival going this direction.
Outdoor pool area is small, the "grand" entrance area is small to capitalize on rooms above. The buffer areas have limited options ...
This was my 4th cruise on NCL. I sailed on the brand new Norwegian Encore. Unfortunately, out of the 20 plus cruises that I have taken, this was the worst cruise. The service was very poor. Long lines to get drinks and waited 20-25 minutes in line at guest services both times. The rooms were very small and the room steward was not personable nor did he do anything extra in any way. Actually, ...
You remember the saying, "All that glitter is not gold!"
This is definitely true when it comes to this ship. They dazzle you with the Swarovski crystal infinity staircase and a dazzling dome ceiling that reflects a wonderful nightly light show. All of your sense are captivated on this ship for sure.
However, do not be hoodwinked by all of this opulence because the level of service leaves ...
My partner, our son and I were on Meraviglia over Thanksgiving. We don't cruise a lot. Our last one was an Alaska cruise on Holland America about 12 years ago. Prior to that we have one each on Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, and Carnival. Here's the run-down:
Positives:
* Lay out and design of public areas and cabins
* Ship cleanliness
* The singers and musicians
* The Ocean Cay ...
