Embarkation went very quickly. We arrived at the terminal around 1 for a 1:30 arrival time, dropped off family and luggage (you can use right two lanes for drop-off at Galveston terminal). Took about 20 minutes to park at the port lot and return. We were on the ship before 2. Room and S&S cards were ready. Headed up to 10 and found that Cuchina del Capitano was still open for pasta lunch, ...
We wanted to sail on the Breeze before it leaves Galveston. We have sailed 3 times on the Dream and wanted to compare the two ships. We loved the Breeze. We always enjoy the Cove balcony rooms and room 2365 was very nice and very convenient. The entertainment was excellent-there was live music all over the ship. The Red Frog pub is lots of fun. The atrium is a great place to wait for dinner. ...
The back of the ship is where our room was and the smell of sewage everyday was almost unbearable. Food is highly underseasoned to our taste. The embarkation went smoothly. The disembarkation at the end went very smoothly. The disembarkation on the excursions was definitely out of a hot horror movie. We did dance the night away at the 80's Glow Party on the Lido deck. Ari & Gede were the best ...
We chose this cruise for my granddaughter's 18th birthday, high school graduation, and for me the end of a hectic school year. I knew the traffic from Houston to Galveston could be insanity, so we went in a day before. We used the Galveston Express service - if you use them be prepared for lots of stops (like a city bus). We stayed at the Scottish Inn in Galveston. I had read about the hotel and ...
We cruised with another couple we have cruises with previously. This time we did not bring any of our children, and we had a great time! There were plenty of kids on the ship...but thankfully we weren’t in charge of any of them. I was surprised how many kids were being served alcohol. I have never witnessed that on any of my previous cruises, and it was concerning. We upgraded to a spa interior ...
We choose this cruise because of the holiday week and only having to take off 4 days for a 7 day cruise. It was pretty expensive cruise and my husband and I went with 3 other couples that are friends, we all live in the greater Houston area so easy to get to port etc. This was my husband’s 6 cruise and my 11th, we did FTTF as well.
We really like the Breeze it has a great layout and muted ...
We loved our time on the Breeze. I am writing this review as I really enjoyed reading the reviews prior to our cruise which was the week of 5/20 so hopefully this will help anyone with an upcoming trip on the Breeze. We departed out of Galveston with an itinerary going to Montego Bay, Grand Caymen and Cozumel.
The ship was beautiful. Very well- appointed. Not as gaudy as others ships which was ...
First of all, I think it's important to mention that I wasn't very excited about our port day in Jamaica. However, we met a local taxi driver (Rae) who was beyond helpful and took us to a magical spot- Mayfield Falls! I honestly hesitate to blast it all over the internet, because what was so special, besides the beauty, is that we didn't see one other group while we were on our tour. We had the ...
Our first cruise. The good, bad and ugly. First the good, this ship is clean clean clean. I wish I had better pics of the cabin, I did not think about it while we were on board. Our cabin was small but did not feel that way, there was plenty of room for the two of us and all my over-packing. The room staff went above and beyond and super fast. The ship was large and there were a lot of ...
Very fun ship with a wide range of fellow travelers. We meant some very nice people from all over the country. The staff is amazing! Room Stewards, Dining Room ( Juan and company), bartenders (Erwin, Elwin and company). Clean ship. Everything is in great working order. Lots of activities for almost all ages but in my opinion, way too many Trivia games. It got a bit boring after the first couple of ...
