I must say that Bermuda was beyond beautiful and the weather was perfect. The ships refurbishing is really nice. The cabin colors were perfect. The shower is a little small and the grab bar is not in a great place. Lots of banging into it while showering. The crew was amazing not one complaint. The wine master Sedat went above and beyond to keep us supplied in great wines. Did the chefs table ...
No flights necessary, big plus, love Bermuda and Bar Harbor although temperature spread was alarming. Low 80`s in Bermuda and mid 40`s in Maine.
Coming from Virginia, the southern approach allowed us to take a room on Staten Island's Hilton Garden Inn, included parking and shuttle service to the ship and back. EZPZ, less traffic.
Embarkation was a snap at 11:30 am and the new policy of "drop ...
We chose it because of the 3 days in Bermuda. It was great. Also loved Bar Harbor and Boston. I did not like that they have eliminated the card room. Met Mah Jongg players on cruise critic but there was no place with a table big enough to play except in the buffet. Very awkward. I loved the captain’s talk on how the ship works. Very interesting. But, I wish there were more experts on board to ...
We are seasoned cruisers with 47 under our belt. We love cruising and it is obvious by having a majority of our vacations since 1995 have been on the high seas. Eleven have been with Celebrity and this has been our third on the Summit. The last time was in August 2014.
• Embarkation – Being from northern New Jersey we love the convenience of Cape Liberty. They have been making continuous ...
The good:
We absolutely loved the overall changes in decor on the Summit.
Truly beautiful.
Staff - amazing!!
Luminae continues to be great!
The Retreat lounge became our favorite place, and the servers in there - Alexandra and Ruslana were literally our favorite people on the entire ship.
The bad:
*Entertainment continues to be weak on Celebrity. The high point was the ...
The weather was perfection and the ports were also amazing. It is so nice to be in Bermuda multiple days - if you haven't done a multi-day port yet, you should. It is so different when there is no pressure to get back to the ship.
This ship is ship shape and one of the VERY few ships in the world to get a 100 score in regards to health/cleanliness. It shows. The staff is great.
Where are ...
Wanted to visit Bermuda again and the New England ports. Also wanted to go on this ship after the refurbishment.
They have made a super job of refitting the staterooms and communal rooms. Everything looks fresh and clean.
Entertainment was overall good, and the production crew were the best, although they have now moved on to other contracts. The staff were all happy and smiling as usual and ...
After being away from Celebrity for 9 years, gave it another try. Have been going mostly with Holland America and Crystal. Though I enjoyed many aspects of this cruise, there wasn't a wow factor that would tear me away from my loyalty to HAL and Crystal.
The ship dry-dock earlier in the year was well done for the most part. However, it was quite surprising that they didn't refurbish the ...
This was my third Celebrity Cruise, although my last was 8 years ago and I definitely noticed some changes. We were in a Aqua Class Cabin, #9081, this trip. I was disappointed in quite a few things. They advertise a spa shower with multiple shower heads but since the ship was refurbished, they took that out and it’s just a regular shower. It is a very tight fit, the grab bar is positioned such ...
This was my 3rd cruise on Celebrity, and somewhere near my 17th cruise (most on RCCL, with experiences on NCL and HAL). My mom (60’s) and myself (30s) have tried to take a mother/daughter cruise every summer since I graduated college and look forward to this every year. We sailed on the Summit last year to Bermuda and quickly agreed it was the best port to go to and we had such a blast on the ...
