Not quite what we expected

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Explorer of the Seas

This cruise was cut to 11 days due to bad weather on previous cruise. RCI did offer a price reduction - pro rata - or a full refund to be used towards a future cruise. Apparently full cash refunds were offered, but we did not know this at the time. Anyway we decided to go despite the change which meant we only visited one Caribbean Island instead of four. Summary: barding was excellent and on ...

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Jewel of the Seas

As I've travelled on Carnival, Princess, Holland America and others, this is a comparison to these lines. This was a nightmare. Twelve days and nights of misery. The cabin was supposed to be a room for 3 adults but immediately found there were 2 twin beds and a love seat. Customer service said there was a drop-down bunk bed only, for which a disabled 70 year old had to climb into. No way to ...

SO SO DISAPPOINTED - Brilliance of the Seas - low-cost rip-off cruise.

If you want to pay a lot for a low-cost rip-off cruise in a dated ship and very few activities - this is the ship for you. Six 1 liter bottles of water for 39 USD?? come on. We were on a family vacation (4 families with young kids) and booked a cruise via an agent (who was supposed to help find the right ship) on a home for the elderly cruise with cheap food, very little activities and dated ...

We just went on this ship in September 2019. I have sailed on many cruise ships and this one, in particular, showed its age and wear and tear. So many things not working and broken on the ship. My suggestion to Royal Carribean is to remodel this ship. It is so outdated. I can rant and rave but that's, not my purpose. The food in comparison to other cruises I have had with Royal Carribean was ...

2nd rate cruise line! Beyond terrible customer service (sent 4 emails with no response and several calls with no answer including a 54 minute call which I have a screenshot of); stained sheets on the cruise (I have a pic); 2 of our 3 excursions were horrible; hard beds; teenagers allowed in the adult only pool area but not kids; kids pool hours limited; 90% of the food on the windjammer deck was ...

We read positive reviews about this ship and the stops before we booked in April. Wow, I’d like to know who’s writing these reviews. We haven’t made it to one stop yet and I have no idea how we’re going to make it 12 more days. We’ve been on Disney to the Bahamas, Carnaval both to the Caribbean and Mexico and Princess to Alaska. All these cruises have been in the last few years and the food, ...

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Oasis of the Seas

We decided to do a month long European vacation which included a 7 day Mediterranean cruise. My wife and I and our 2 children aged 7 and 9 stayed in a grand suite with 2 bedrooms and my mother and partner in an owners suite. Having travelled on RCI and other cruise lines many times before, I was excited as this time I was taking my kids with me. Embarkation was fine although they couldn’t ...

I bought 2 expensive suites for a very special trip for my family. I have cruised over 70 times in my life and can honestly say this is the worst, Boarding the ship they had my wrong room and they lost my partners bag and didn't even bother to look for it till I made a terrible Fuss. My suite was clean,. We had our own concierge, but due to the dinners and activities, they were always gone ...

Good food. That's the positives out of the way. Rooms small. Accommodation deck stank of poo. Shows were god-awful ending with a finale of a guy on a bmx bike cycling round in circles. Utterly naff. Busy ship with nowhere to chill out without others stepping on your toes. Mediterranean cruise so why were subjected to Caribbean music every day? Felt like we were given a hard sell all the time. Pool ...
