Owning a Hotel ourselves, we are not difficult or demanding customers by any stretch of the imagination as we understand how difficult it can be to please all guests, but we do like our vacation time to temporarily remove us from the 24/7 stresses and strains of running our own busy Hotel, Restaurant & Function business. We have cruised a few times before with other Companies, but this was our ...
We chose this cruise for the excellent ports that it visited...Barcelona, Naples, Civitavecchia, Marseilles, Nice, and LeSpezia. The rooms were nice although we were expecting a pull-out couch for our adult daughter rather than the very uncomfortable trundle pull down bed with a thin and hard mattress. Overall, the food in the dining room was very good. One night, the prime rib and fish were awful ...
Wow, what a great cruise, currently on this ship on the Transatlantic Crossing.
The ship is showing some wear and tear but is still enjoyable.
On this part we had an interior room and it was fine. Little details are missed like the rust on the waste containers and door edges but everything worked. Our cabin attendant moved our belongings to our next room without a hitch.
Dining was ...
We chose this cruise because it was one of the few with remaining availabilities for our last minute booking, departing out of Barcelona. We were traveling with our parents who enjoy cruising. It's a highly ambitious itinerary, visiting 6 ports within 7 nights. I think this is a great option for active traveler who wants to pack as much as possible into a few days. Full disclosure - I've been to ...
This was to be our fifth Mediterranean cruise with Royal Caribbean. On this occasion disembarking from Barcelona and stopping at Marseille, Villefrance, La Spezia (Florence/Pisa), Citavecchia (Rome) and Naples. As we had visited each of these on previous cruises this time we didn't undertake any shore excursions. We knew what to expect from Royal Caribbean and the Freedom of the Seas didn't ...
Recommended by friends.enjoyed the cruise especially the staff were very friendly and accommodated us very well. Hubert Johnson waiter was very friendly, also Deron restaurant assistant waiter very good as was the waiter Darwarman could not do enough for us. Did our own excursions which is a lot cheaper. Cabin found to be too small for three adults. Food lovely but not very hot and found to be a ...
We chose the Freedom, love the ship. We had early dining with a wonderful waiter, Jay Narain. If you have the opportunity to request him, he is great! Always smiling, great attitude, couldn't have asked for better! The Beatle group was very good, Ben Mills, classic mix of songs was great and Hector with his magic was very good! The ice show was wonderful, you have to get there early or you will ...
We chose this cruise because of the ports visited, and the round trip from Barcelona back to Barcelona. After the cruise, we picked up a car and explored Madrid and surrounding areas.
Freedom is the largest ship we have ever sailed on, and were a little apprehensive about the size and number of people. The only time we felt the numbers was at the Windjammer for an occassional breakfast, we ...
Freedom of Seas, Oct 5-15, Western Mediterranean.
First time of such a large ship. Really didn't notice the other 4000+ passengers, but felt that overall 'service' was lacking compared to smaller (2000 or smaller) ships we've been on in the past.
Room wasn't made up one night. Nobody at Guest Services seemed to care. Room attendant was very apologetic.
Of ten nights in the MDR, asked at ...
The ship was great
Dining....maybe I'm getting worn out with RCI? same menu as any other ship. It seems I've been on some cruises before where there were more "local" flavors to be had, Windjammer was same ole day in and out. One dinner experience: BREADED Tiger Shrimp ~ not peeled first? what a messy dinner experience THAT was!
Not complaining about the Quality of the food served. I ...
