Disappointed in food quality and service

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Carnival Glory

Love Carnival, love all the hard working staff. Food quality was not up to what we have experienced in past cruises on other ships. Couple spa treatment room was right under the waterworks, was not the relaxing experience expected. Sounded like the ceiling was coming down on our head!! Ship was clean. Found most staff courteous and hard working. Our balcony room was great, stewards kept it very ...

This was a round trip cruise to Hawaii. Great itinerary. PROS We have done 44 cruises and this was the first time I could understand the captain, he was excellent in his reports and explanations. The whole crew was very friendly and helpful. A great attitude by all of them.Probably the best service we ever had. The public areas are well maintained, traditional, and comfortable. Entertainment ...

Family with young, middle aged, and grandparent

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Disney Fantasy

We were a family group of ages girl 4, boy 5, mom 45, aunt 50, dad 52, and myself the grandmother 76. It is hard to find a family vacation that will suit such a disparate group, but we settled on a Disney cruise out of Cape Canaveral. This was a good choice. Since the little ones could go to the "kids club" for many happy hours and give their parents a break, and there was a small adult pool ...

Don't believe the bad hype, Epic times were had

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Norwegian Epic

Let me start by saying, you have probably read the seemingly endless parade of negative reviews on this ship by now, and you're questioning why in the world you booked this cruise? That was me for about a month leading up to this cruise, and I was worried we were going to have a horrible time waiting in endless lines, with mean staff, terrible unclean accommodations, and bad food. You know ...

Enjoyed our week on the Freedom

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Freedom

We chose this cruise because we were celebrating my birthday on the first day of the cruise and it had an itinerary we were interested in. It so happened to be on the Freedom. The layout was the same as our last ship, the Valor, so it wasn't confusing for us but I could see how it would be for others. The layout is confusing on some decks, as you are unable to walk the length of the ship on ...

My wife and i are platinum Carnival cruisers and this time had 4 family members along, including our 2 year old grandson. He was a bit overwhelmed by all the sites and sounds, but had a great time. The crew gave him special attention throughout the ship and always stopped to talk to him. The overall cruise was very good and there were some positive changes that are easily noticed. The ...

Rhapsody of The Seas

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Rhapsody of the Seas

We chose this cruise because we had gone on this 2 years ago and loved it. All in all it is a wonderful cruise, but this time around we brought more friends and kids. The Kids Club was great for the young ones, but only our two teens (13 years old) showed up to Teen Club and that is not enough to do anything that is planned for the teens. I did give the manager ideas on how to promote and maybe ...

The cruise was awesome. The restaurant choices and food were amazing. The staff was friendly . Would recommend the Epic The entertainment, especially the group D Soul Duo,They were a 2 person singing/entertainment group. Loved them. Saw almost all their shows. The bars on deck 15 were nice also. Loved most of the drinks. Some were not consistent. Liked that the epic had several pools and 6 hot ...

A Grand time aboard the Ruby Princess

Review for a Mexican Riviera Cruise on Ruby Princess

This cruise was just at the right time, went to a few ports that we have not visited yet and was priced right. This was our first cruise on Princess and we were anxious to see how it compared. First impression was that it was a beautiful ship, fairly easy to figure out where to go and how to get there and had a good mix of cruisers...young, middle aged and seniors. Our first day we decided to ...

You get a "solid" experience for what you pay, but don't expect "5-star" quality

Review for a South America Cruise on Norwegian Sun

Chose this ship because of the pricing and its itinerary(both what we all wanted.) Went to Buenos Aires for 4 days ahead and toured city on our own. Highly recommend doing that. Transfer to ship on Feb 2 was easy and well organized by Ship. Just need a private taxi organized by your hotel. No need for NCL to do that. Food: I liken this experience to going to perhaps a favorite restaurant of ...
