The worst experience with Royal Caribbean!

Review for a Asia Cruise on Voyager of the Seas

We decided to cruise with Royal Caribbean again because we had a pleasant one before last Christmas. This trip is our worst nightmare. It’s apparent that the ship took a booking of a low budgeted group of tourist affecting the remaining guest who paid for regular price. The food is worse than cookhouse in the Army camp. That group alone is approximately 1000 pax, rowdy and noisy, no order and very ...

First and last cruise with Princess

We chose this cruise for the itinerary, and the ports were everything we hoped for and more. Unfortunately, the cruise itself was the worst we've been on, for several reasons: Princess wanted £60 pp each way for transfers between the ship and airport. Thank goodness we saw this for the rip-off it was and decided against booking these. We found our own way for a few £ each. Similarly, the shore ...

Tours very expensive with nothing to be seen Charged 20$ for local transfers when docked and then faced over 1 hour wait to get on a bus both ways Only had anytime dining, no set dining although we had booked for a table of 8. Again long queues to get into dining rooms. Specifically aimed at Asian customers, although the majority non Asian and staff confirmed this was the case. Dining ...

We chose this cruise for the itinerary - visiting Japan and Alaska. This was our 11th cruise, all previous cruises with Royal Carribbean and Princess Cruises. The embarkation process in Yokohama took over 2 hours, we had previously experienced 30 minutes maximum on other cruises. The same applied to disembarking we were left mid way on the gangway for 40 minutes with no explanation. The ...

From embarcation in Shanghai, where no one from princess could be found. You had to shove and push your way for over 500 metres inside terminal. People in wheelchairs pushing there luggage through the terminal with not even 1 staff member from princess to even tell you you where in the right terminal! No queues, just passengers pushing and shoving. The captain blamed the late arrival of the ship. ...

Worst cruise ever

Review for a Asia Cruise on Ovation of the Seas

Just got back from the worst cruise ever! I’m so disgusted with Royal Caribbean for dropping their usual high standards on the cruise from Beijing to Hong Kong. What a waste of a lovely new ship. Terrible food and terrible service -and Royal Caribbean management should be ashamed of themselves. I can’t believe they wouldn’t treat all people equal and why the Chinese people do not deserve the ...

Having sailed Quantum out of China before I thought I knew what to expect. Same cruise line, same class of ship, similar passenger base, similar origin/region. Unfortunately Ovation is no Quantum. While Quantum was a model recognising the differences between customer groups and trying to cater for each, and doing a great job, Ovation did not. Their approach was mostly just to lump everyone ...

Chose this cruisebas wanted to experience Asian ports. Have experienced different cruise lines all being very good but Royal Caribbean on this cruise completely dropped their standard and did not cater for the Australian passengers at all. Boarding of ship was a shambles. Understaffed and with little direction. The food on board was all aimed at the large contingent of Asian passengers . No ...

Having booked what I thought would be the trip of a lifetime I have been left very dissapionted.Embarkation was a joke!3 hours queing in high 20 degree temperatures with no information or as much as a glass of water because ncl had not informed passengers of the need for 2 passport photo copies.Booking in was then not completed properly with no credit card details taken, only to receive a rude ...

An Old Tub of Rust

Review for a Asia Cruise on Celebrity Millennium

We have cruised over 30 times and this is the worst cruise I have ever been on. We had a concierge class cabin that was in awful shape. The balcony was all rust and I wouldn’t put my hands on anything. The bathroom smelled like a sewer. The decorative pillows and throw were disgusting. We were locked out of our room for over 1/2 hour until security finally showed up and used a key to open the ...
