our trip to Delos was canceled due to the rough water. Enjoyed walking around. Bought a lovely bracelet at Alexander's jewelry store. Recommend going there. ...
We did the Delos excursion through NCL. It was interesting and only 4 hours so we had plenty of time to walk around Mykonos afterwards. Our guide was an archeologist and actually used to work at Delos so we were lucky. ...
You tender in to Mykonos from the ship and the town is right there on the shore. We just chose to wander around on our own and had a pleasant morning shopping. We also stopped to have something to eat at a local restaurant which was nice. Definitely a town you can see on your own without the need for a shore excursion. ...
We did an independent excursion with a company called Kids Love Greece; they arrange family tours and excursions in the Greek islands. We really wanted to go to the beach in Mykonos but we were unsure which beach and had heard that transport on the island could be problematic. We booked a private catamaran tour which was amazing. They picked us up at the port and drove us to the marina where a ...
Arrived just sheet a storm so not the best introduction as streets very wet and sewage running down some streets!
Had booked a highlights your if Mykonos, 1/10, really poor tour. If forget that one.
Later when sun was out Myko no os was crammed, no pleasure around little Venice or at three windmills. Our least favorite port ...
My least favorite port of call on the trip. While the stone winding streets are adorable and the windmills are nice it was crazy busy and hard to walk anywhere due to the masses in port that day. We chose to go the far side of the port and sat and just enjoyed lunch in the port. There is a great bakery called Attica also on that port end if you want to get some Baklava or sandwiches. ...
Island is beautiful but honestly, we felt over-rated, especially if you are not a party harder. We did a beach day which was recommended by a taxi driver, the beach was beautiful and nice atmosphere (70EUR for 2 sun beds). A bit of hustler mentality in Greece so make sure you negotiate your prices and don't believe that "my friend no one will charge you less" mantra. But we are from the Balkans ...
We were in old port by 830am wandering around the beautiful white washed streets and ally ways. Had breakfast in little Venice at Veranda. Was delish. Saw the old white church and the old wee little blue and white church by the water. Saw the windmills. Took lots of picture perfect photos. Loved old port. In the afternoon we took a local bus to Stefanos Beach and swam in the beautiful blue ...
The port of mykonos is actually about 15 minutes from mykonos town as the port is on the smaller side and we were a large ship we were tended in via the local boats but to complicate things it was very windy so it took quite a while to actually get into mykonos town
Mykonos town is a hip and trendy place with loads of bars, restaurants and shops but prices to match!!!
Nice picturesque place ...
