The sea was very rough at at Mykonos. At the old harbour where the ship of tendered very few shops were open. We we had lunch at a charming place called Maria's Restaurant. It was very windy and cold.

Beautiful port not cold but very windy. We were there Nov 7 and were told that the shops usually close Nov 1 but stayed open for us an the RCCL ship. None of the beaches were open (well, you could GO to the beach but no facilities were open so no restaurants, restrooms or chairs available) so we decided to walk around town. Beautiful town to walk around in. We ate at a local restaurant on our way back to the ship. Had great hummus and shared a gyro. To your right before you get back on your bus shuttle. Sorry cannot remember the name. Read Less

We arranged to go snorkeling with the Mykonos Diving Center. They picked us up at the port and took us to Paradise Beach. They dressed us up in wet suits (it was October after all) and snorkels, and a guide accompanied my husband and I for a 90 minute snorkeling trip along a reef. The best part was that he spotted an octopus, and we followed it for about 10 minutes. Beautiful. They took us back to Mykonos town, and we wandered up and down the streets there for a couple of hours (churches, windmills, etc.) before taking the water taxi (2E each) back to our ship (we docked at the new port--no tendering, but a little farther from town). We tendered to the island and walked around the shopping area which is right off the tender area. We ate at a local restaurant and the lamb chops with fried potatoes with tziki and freshly made breads were delicious.
