Princess is selling Alaska cruises on the Crown Princess based on a promised itinerary that they know upfront that they will not be able to deliver - because they have one engine that is completely broken and another that is limping. They have known about the engine problems since prior to 2021. They cancelled all of their scheduled sailings for February - April 2022 - and then decided to go ...
We planned a cruise trip to Alaska happily ever in the beginning. After we booked the cruise trip, we found out a few days that the ship canceled one port stop in Icy Strait Point due to its own diesel engine issue. We then wanted to change to another ship cruise called the Discovery Princess cruising the similar places. However, the Princess company didn't respond to our request. the Princess ...
This was our first trip on princess cruise lines and will be our last. Our travel excursions were being canceled before the trip even started or replaced with other excursions. Even when we embarked the excursion cancellations continued. The 2 excursions we did were cut short so shore time was minimal. Even our glazier time was limited. As far as I’m concerned the trip I booked and paid for ...
Think twice before booking this ship - it has mechanical issues! We had two ports canceled, delays causing canceled excursions, terrible food. I had a private whale watching boat reserved and when I boarded the ship and went to my room, there was a letter on the desk saying the ship couldn't make it to Juneau in time so they canceled my excursion. There were 10 of my family on the cruise - we ...
I loved the way Princess lays out how they are going to great lengths to protect the passengers from exposure to Covid-19. You get 10 out of 10. However, after embarkation, my family go up to the Horizons cafe where my expectation was that there would be no self service. I state that because that was precisely what your Covid precautions page had told us all. I quote, "there will be no self ...
The pre-departure and onboarding experience was amazing.
Princess does a great job of taking your money and communicating on what is needed prior to departure.
Prior to getting on the ship, the process was very streamlined and efficient.
Once you get on the ship, the process becomes much less efficient and effective.
Princess had a great opportunity to create an amazing customer ...
We wanted to take the whole family in a cruise to celebrate our 55 wedding anniversary. The cruise was cancelled last year because of Covid so we went this year.
Our kids and grandkids wanted Alaska. What a disappointment it all was! Due to ship maintenance ports were cancelled the week before we sailed and excursions were cancelled after we were aboard! We were late to 2 ports and excursions ...
I chose this cruise because of the Glacier bay stop and the multiple ports & length of time to enjoy each. Princess cut off one stop completely Ketchikan & moved back our arrival time so shortened it also & cut off some of our 2 excursion.
We did catch a couple of the shows which were good and entertaining. The Crown Princess needs to be updated with some new carpet and upkeep nothing major ...
We didn’t get the cruise we booked. We’d signed up for a cruise with several ports of call but, because of the ship’s mechanical difficulties, most of our excursions were cancelled. The port of Ketchikan was eliminated from the itinerary before we even got onboard the ship, eliminating one of our most desired destinations. The ship wasn’t running at full speed and didn’t make it into ports early ...
The service on the Crown Princess is the same excellent service I have come to expect when cruising. The room steward, dining staff, and everyone else were courtious and kind. I found the musicians fabulous and enjoyed going to the different venues to experience the many different entertainers.
I love the international cafe on the Crown Princess. We had a nice light lunch there the first day ...
