The service on the Crown Princess is the same excellent service I have come to expect when cruising. The room steward, dining staff, and everyone else were courtious and kind. I found the musicians fabulous and enjoyed going to the different venues to experience the many different entertainers.
I love the international cafe on the Crown Princess. We had a nice light lunch there the first day and returned almost everyday for one of our meals or just to get a cookie. The food in the main dining room was great as well - even to my plebeian tastes.
My party hung out playing cards quite a bit. Our favorite venue was the Caribe Cafe; in between meals the wait staff was quite attentive. We also liked the Explorer lounge though it hosted quite a bit of the daily entertainment. And we might have liked the Wheelhouse better if it wasn't always so cold.
We were in a room which is listed as "fully obstructed" which is sooo wrong. It was "barely obstructed" by the balconies above and a railing on the very edge of the view from the middle of the room. If you went right up to the window to look around you could see the rescue boats to the left and right and the promenade below. I was entertained at a couple of our stops to watch the port crew place the ramps to the dock.
I loved our visit to Glacier Bay. Several park rangers got on board the ship at the start of the day so there was some comentary for certain sites and people to ask questions. Also, I was able to add to my national park t-shirt collection and get my stamp.
