I chose this cruise because of the Glacier bay stop and the multiple ports & length of time to enjoy each. Princess cut off one stop completely Ketchikan & moved back our arrival time so shortened it also & cut off some of our 2 excursion.

We did catch a couple of the shows which were good and entertaining. The Crown Princess needs to be updated with some new carpet and upkeep nothing major that i saw. The dining room food was pretty good but missing some more variety. The staff are really good and very attentive to whatever you ask or need. I liked the International Cafe' they're open 24 hours and always have some sweets or finger food when the call presents itself along with the coffee shop right next to it. The medallion makes life really easy for every aspect onboard and ordering everything & paying for it or unlocking your cabin door which was nice & my 1st experience with it.

Overall it was okay but would of been happier if Princess lived up to there obligation's for stops and durations at them. Seemed like we didn't have enough time (agreed upon) at the locations once we got to them, to short. The specialty dining was another weak link for me i couldn't make a reservation no matter how many times i tried & once on the ship it was too late all booked every time at every specialty restaurant.

Cabin Review

Mini-Suite with Balcony

Cabin was nice and bed pretty comfortable but overall dated needs updating. We had the mini-suite with the sofa bed which was better then i expected for comfort. The bathroom was bigger & had room than the last cruise i was on with the mini-suite. We were in the mid-ship which made easy access to and not as rocky since we did have some bigger waves.

Port Reviews

Juneau

We chose this Mendenhall Glacier/Whale watch to see hump backs & Orcas and we did see both. Unfortunately the ship was late so we didn't get to experience Mendenhall before the whale watch. We did see multiple whales & Orcas which was really nice & some breaching which is not an everyday occurrence. Overall great time on this excursion.

Skagway

We had done the nature excursion a few years ago so this time took our sin and did it again. You take a high speed fairy over to Haines which is a beautiful little town and go on a nature ride and walk through the woods. The scenery is beautiful and spotted bald eagles but no bears unfortunately but never a guarantee when looking for animals. I would definitely recommend if you like mother nature.
