For this years' family friends group holiday we decided to go for a cruise - and it was one the best decisions.
It is very convenient holiday and yet full of everything. It starts with parking your car and ship attendants are already at the car park to pick up your luggage. Once checked in, and on-board, it felt like completely different world. We even joked among our friends that this is the ...
Chose this cruise as it was from Southampton (no flying) and 6 nights just about as long as I can leave my elderly mum.
1st time on Navigator, shes a large ship, not the newest but immaculate, beautiful and feels very grand. Loved the fact you can walk around the entire ship on deck 4, and even get right to the front to do a "titanic" pose!
From the moment me and the missus boarded we had a ...
Why is Navigator using clean salt water in the swimming pools ? This is not nice. Our family swim every day normally but not in salt water. Lots of other ships use fresh water "realy good" This was a big let down for us. Food was good in the main and buffet restaurant but they kept trying to get you to pay the extra on the special dining areas. I did not want to be asked every night about these ...
I've only been on 2 cruises - both on the Navigator, and both leaving from Southampton so I have little to compare each to but I am impressed with both. Whilst I would now like to experience a different ship, I am keen to stay "loyal to Royal" but wouldn't consider a third cruise on Navigator to be a compromise. I also think the embarkation and disembarkation at Southampton is fantastic. It's a ...
Because of the kids facilities on board we booked this. Added bonus was that Premium drinks package was included, I reckon that saved me around £500 in a week.
Ignore the reviews elsewhere on here criticising the food, the Windjammer Cafe had the most tremendous range of foods you could imagine, no one would ever be stuck for something to eat. We had a 2 night package to go to two of the ...
Went with my Mum as a treat for my birthday. I have never cruised before so was nervous about what to expect and whether I would be seasick or not? However, the ship was very smooth, especially with it going through the bay of biscay twice so I needn't have worried. The room was an accessible cabin for my mum and it was enormous! So much room for her to get about in her wheelchair and a great ...
We've travelled with Royal Caribbean on three occasions and on each occasion, we've had varied experiences: the most recent, onboard the Navigator of the Seas was the least enjoyable.
Staff were very friendly and courteous as usual; the ship was spotless; the food was fabulous. We felt safe and welcomed. What was missing was the details we were used to when compared to the smaller ships (the ...
Could only agree with jsiddique. A great ship and cruise badly let down by the standard of food in the main dining room. The worst Caesar Salad imaginable - Schnapper cooked until it was tough and virtually inedible - main course ravioli the size of which I would normally receive as an entree - shallow dish entrees which provided insufficient food to whet the appetite.
However, breakfast in ...
Navigator Cruise chosen on price and varied age of our party.
Embarcation at Southampton was a hassle partly due to access gangway collapse.
The cabin quality was good with the exception of the location of one of them overlooking the mall, which we eventually managed to change and was compensated.
The Itinerary was limited and not helped by the Sunday docking at Le Havre which has no ...
I picked this cruise mostly because of the dates, to take 3 teenagers, hoping to find simething to keep everyone happy. It was our first cruise and we were all impressed with the food, drinks and cleanliness. Our stateroom with a balcony (1374) was spacious and there was no noise or disturbance at all despite being below the windjammer. The destination Ports however were very dissappointing and ...
