We've travelled with Royal Caribbean on three occasions and on each occasion, we've had varied experiences: the most recent, onboard the Navigator of the Seas was the least enjoyable.
Staff were very friendly and courteous as usual; the ship was spotless; the food was fabulous. We felt safe and welcomed. What was missing was the details we were used to when compared to the smaller ships (the Jewel and Brilliance). Room service was chargeable for a start; there was no place to help yourself to water, juice and tea around the ship; it was very busy during breakfast and dinner, despite changing dining times - we had to return later for tables on a number of occasions.
There were only two occasions to skate on the Ice Rink (this was a selling point for our two children) and on both occasions, it was fully booked within minutes. There was no opportunity to book places, simply turn up and be greeted with a number of angry mothers. Similarly, there were two Ice Shows, both full within minutes. Needless to say, we didn't/our children didn't use it, and neither did hundreds of other children - huge disappointment.
Very clean, did the job!
