We chose this cruise for the itinerary which was great. We enjoyed having two days in Rome prior to the cruise. We had been there before but were able to do a couple of things that were on our bucket list. We stayed at the Starhotels Michelangelo which was great. A 5 minute walk to the Vatican and 15 min walk to Vatican Museums. Location was also good to walk to restaurants. We didn't have to take ...

We chose this cruise because of the Greek Islands that we wanted to see. Embarkation and disembarkation went smoothly and quickly. The ship was very nice and kept i great condition. We were in cabin 7542-a balcony cabin. The room is large and has plenty of room for storage. The beds are comfy. It was great to be able to see such beautiful sites from our balcony. So worth it. Our cabin was ...

This was our 4th trip on the Indy and couldn't wait to take the older children and their partners with us aswe usually only take the younger children (11 and 13) When we read about the refurb we were super excited especially as there was even more to do for the younger children, however, until the week before we didn't realise public areas were sacrificed due to the addition of an extra 100 ...

First, this is my first cruise because I was sure I would hate the crowds, buffets etc. Now I love cruises. We had room 7582 which was a family spacious view (a window, no balcony). It was perfect. Small and dated (yes for my hotel standards) but really perfectly great for a family of 4. The window views were stunning, and it was HOT so I never would have opened a balcony anyway. I got to see the ...

We last sailed on Independence in July 2016, which we enjoyed thoroughly, hence the repeat visit. During the refurb in April 2018 RCCL added extra cabins to the ship, what a mistake! The ship is now cramped, the Windjammer is constantly overcrowded and you struggle to find a table at meal times. The gluten free section had reduced by half since our prior cruise. The standard of the dining room ...

We chose this cruise mainly because it was going on the two weeks we were off and after a Baltic cruise on Celebrity Eclipse last year my wife fancied somewhere a bit hotter....so the Med fitted the bill perfectly and we liked the sound of the places we were visiting. We also have an 11 year old daughter and so also liked the idea of RC being more ‘family friendly’. Little did we anticiapte this ...

Staff - couldn't fault the staff for the most part they were exceptionally good. Drinks – Royal Caribbean do a drinks package that covers everything up to the value of $14 a glass I had copious varieties of cocktails and all were included in my package. The system was very simple anything over the $14 they let you know in advance what it would cost and you just paid the top up. Swimming ...

First Time Cruiser

This was our first cruise and we choose RC based on the reviews of suitability for young families. Overall we had a great time but felt that for the cost it wasn't worthwhile and probably won't do a cruise again. Preboarding the customer service with RC was terrible. The website for booking dining etc was all geared around people who knew how cruises work. As first timers it wasn't clear about ...
