We booked this cruise solely because of Rio. I knew that it was an older ship, but really didn't realize the big difference compared to newer ships. There was little to do. I sailed with NCL Star ship Lisbon to Buenos Aires 21-day route (15-day Transatlantic and 7-day South America). During embarkation on Lisbon, they checked the vaccine status of passengers. just returned from south american cruise and was very very disappointed.We have cruised multiple times and have not seen the poor quality of ship and most of managerial staff.
service was terrible.They DO NOT supply bar of soap, have one outlet in mini suite,give you two skimpy towels and you cannot reach room service. Only soap available is shower soap

We chose this cruise specifically for the itinerary and what a wonderful itinerary it was helped by settled weather conditions for most of the passage. This was a bucket list trip around South America. Boarding was total disorganized and took over 4 1/2 hours. No one in the terminal had any answers as to why the delays.

If you are looking to go on a cruise where service is great, staff are happy...do NOT take Norwegian Sun!!
Leadership on this ship and Guest Service manager, do NOT have a clue of what service is all about. She is rude, defensive and insulting to guests.
