We chose this cruise on recommendation from our travel agent. We flew to lovely Lisbon a few days beforehand, the joined the ship, looking very tiny berthed near some very large cruise ships. The welcome was decidedly perfunctory, and we found our way to our deck 4 cabin. It was pleasantly large, but definitely needed a good spring clean. The bed seemed hard and sagging, not a good start we felt. ...
This was our 4th experience on Uniworld and was a 7-day cruise from Budapest to Nuremberg with an additional 2-day land excursion in Prague. As I have learned the hard way from a previous river cruise, your dream and expensive vacation can go wrong quickly and unexpectedly.
On the positive side the Beatrice was a nice ship. Overall the ship was clean and well maintained. The staff was ...
I have been on 10+ cruises but this was my first Cunard experience.
Embarkation went smoothly in Vancouver, not the fastest but not the worst either.
Our room was large (accessibility means lots of space) with a large balcony. Enough storage space for all our clothes.
The food in the Main dining room was good, a good variety of appetizers and mains and always yummy desserts. The ...
Having read some of the reviews of Queen Elizabeth cruises I was having some concerns about this Alaska cruise. Different people have different experiences, even on the same voyage, and I was pleased we enjoyed our June 10-day cruise very much. We had been on this ship only once before and that was in Princess Grill. This time we were in a Britannia balcony stateroom.
Embarkation in Vancouver ...
Hi everyone:
INTRODUCTION
For those of you considering taking a high end cruise, you may want to read my reviews of our experiences on board Crystal, Oceania, Seabourn, Silverseas, and Regent. I do focus on the food in my reviews, so I apologize in advance if it's not your main criterion. Interestingly, my wife and I had never heard of Azamara before we booked this cruise. We were in Greece ...
Just back from another (yes, another!) Azamara cruise, sailing this time from Venice to Athens. Not one, not two, but THREE new ports (for us).
From day one this cruise was really special, from the wonderful greeting welcoming us onboard from Elizabeth, the Hotel Director, right through to the last night dining in Prime C with Emerson waiting on us so perfectly. Captain Antonio is such a ...
The schedule and scenery was amazing - but our experience of the ship was not good. This was only the third time that Cunard had ventured into these waters. We were interested to go with Cunard as we feel we are culturally more aligned with Britain than the US (being from Australia) and there were some great things such as the high tea at 3 pm on the ship. However, we had some major issues with ...
We chose this cruise because it was a ten day round trip itinerary that left and returned to Vancouver. It didn't' go to Glacier Bay, but the times in port were good and the ten day itinerary allowed us to visit extra ports. We were also hoping to get some dancing in because we'd found the dance floor on our previous cruise was far too small.
The cruise more than met our expectations. We had ...
We wanted to see the fjords, and, a friend suggested looking at Viking for possible cruises. We picked out this cruise and it was perfect: the only fault (I have to find something) was that they didn't have Guinness on board. The Viking Jupiter staff were courteous and efficient in an unobtrusive manner. The food was great with an excellent variety. The stateroom was always clean and tidy. ...
We chose the cruise to the Arctic because the ship was supposed to be small. I made a mistake and thought it was 128 passengers. It was 128 cabins. In the arctic and antarctic only 100 passengers can be on shore at any time so ships should be no more than 100 passengers to get the experience. All shore experiences except one were worthless wastes of time. More on that later.
We called Ponant a ...
