Poor Staff Judgements but great cruise

1. We boarded the Radiance in Sydney and continued on the following cruise around New Zealand. When we boarded originally, getting on the ship went smoothly and efficiently. But once on the ship, we were told to join a line in the dining room to satisfy the authorities at Bali. At the front of the line I observed several people examining passenger’s passports and placing them in a copy machine. ...

This was my husbands and my second cruise with Radiance. Once again it did not disappoint. From the moment we set foot on the ship in Sydney it felt like we had come home. We were very fortunate to board and be in Windjammers by 11.15 due to being in a Suite this time. I believe there was a big hold up after we got on with the processing of Entry/Departure forms for Bali so happy we got on before ...

Cruise was overall very enjoyable and great value for money. The food was excellent with good variety in the dining room and the buffet was a good standard with the breakfast omelette station very popular. The staff were almost all very helpful and friendly. One lady at the Customer relations desk let the whole team down by being very superior and dismissive in her attitude to an enquiry. The ...

Radiance of the Seas. No WOW for me

The Good. Being a bit up the loyalty level helps for a speedy embarkation. From the wharf to my cabin in less than 15 minutes. I did a "walk off" (take your own luggage) disembarkation and I must have blinked and missed it. This was my third cruise on the Radiance and as before the food in the Windjammers was really enjoyable. Best buffet on any ship I have been on. That's it for the good. The ...

This was our second Royal Caribbean cruise and first time on this ship and it was wonderful!!! The Radiance is definitely a beautiful ship and the crew are very polite and always took the time to greet us where ever we were on the ship. We opted for My Time Dining and this worked well most nights as we got to sit next to different people and on the last few nights we opted to dine with people we ...

10 nights to Hawaii

We have cruised often but never for longer than 7 nights and never with this many sea days (5), so this was a new experience. A few specific comments. One, the ship is very nice and in great shape. It is easy to get around and rarely seemed crowded. Two, the staff and officers were some of the friendliest I have ever encountered. We even met the captain in the elevator the first day and chatted ...

This is the worse cruise my family and I have ever been on. We were told royal carribean was a top class ships to go on better then p&o. Well it was huge let down from the day we steped on the ship. The cabins are not designed for more then two people, however they let you book four in a room. You are expected to sleep on the floor. The sofa pull out bed is no bed it's wood frame no mattress on ...

We did a 10-day repositioning cruise from Vancouver to Hawaii in September 2014. Much of the cruise was just fine: the ship, the crew, embarkation, etc. But there were several drawbacks that significantly diminished the experience. First, with 5 days at sea we had anticipated an engaging enrichment agenda. Instead we found a single speaker who was a great disappointment. After sitting through his ...

First time on this ship, very impressed. Lots to do but drinks not cheap. Lots of queuing for barbq etc. Never a lounger available all with towels on and only 3 people in the pool! Great room with balcony, room 1014. Great room attendant and interesting towel animals !!! Got warmer as we travelled along, had the window opened and watched the sea all night GREAT ! as got closer to Hawaii, it ...
