Review for a Arctic Cruise on Carnival Pride

Unfortunately food has to be great, with most days, 3 meals a day on board they have to get it right. Carnival Pride, Iceland Trip, August 20, 2023, have failed miserably. This is our 9th Carnival cruise, another booked for December and our 18th cruise overall. We have not encountered worse food, and guests everywhere complaining. Doesn’t seem to matter what food it is, complaints ...

Seabourn goes the way of Holland American

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Seabourn Quest

We have been Seabourn loyal cruisers for a number of seasons, but no more. We like the ship size and outstanding onboard personnel. However, the overall quality of service, food, little extras, and ability of crew members to respond to special needs has disappeared. The ships are the same, the outstanding crews are the same, the food is a little sub-par when compared to Oceana and the excursions ...

Annoying emails about wheelchair and disembarkation nightmare

Review for a Europe - All Cruise on Carnival Pride

Chose this cruise for its itinerary and price. Guest service kept annoying and harassing me about the wheelchair from day one. I kept explain it was a collapsible wheelchair and that I could still walk to the water shuttles but they kept sending emails and harassing me even after I emailed their president Ms Christine Duffy and after I was already on the ship. Carnival needs to learn how to treat ...

Tired Ship with Poor COVID-19 Hygiene

Review for a Europe - All Cruise on Carnival Pride

Carnival Pride trip to Norway The sights and ports were stunning but the ship is old and needs a complete renovation. Staff were indifferent and at times downright rude. I have never seen so many crew members using their personal phones before and there are not many cheery greetings on board from staff in passing as we have come to expect. The service in main dining room was shocking, ...

Great staff but suite was unsatisfactory and so was the food.

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Seabourn Quest

Thought it would be the best cruise for us-upscale and all inclusive However, we told our travel agent that we needed a sound proof separation between the sleeping and sitting areas. He spoke to Seaborne and their person said the curtain was sound proof. He said that all he has ever been told is that these curtains are purposely made thick to keep the light and sound from coming in from the ...

Anniversary Cruise was a total disaster

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Norwegian Star

We have cruised on NCL many times, as well as a number of other cruise lines. This has to rate as the worst cruising experience, ever. The only redeeming feature was that we met many friendly fellow cruisers from the US, UK and Germany. Some we hope to remain friends with in the future. The food was poor, in our opinion, and so heavily salted that my wife and I had to ask for no-salt meals. ...

Our First Cruise with Fred Olsen

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Braemar

We have just returned from a round britain cruise on Breamar. First the good points. The food in the thistle restaurant on most occasions was some of the best we have ever had on cruise lines. The staff were excellent and the balcony cabins large with good storage. Now the bad points. Breamar was a vast 800 person floating old peoples home. The cabin "bathrooms were so small and ...

Having travelled on over 40 different cruise ships since the 1980s and having been on two cruises this year already and not having tried Fred Olsen thought we would give it ago. First impressions were that the ship was very well maintained ,the crew were delightful and we liked the size of the deck 7 suite we had booked but were amazed that instead of a range of toiletries we were supposed to ...

A great disappointment

Review for a France Cruise on Braemar

Right from the start this inaugural river cruise was beset with problems. From the second day we had the Norovirus which wiped out a lot of on-board activities and amenities including any self-service restaurant meals and closed all the public toilets, so there was a lot of toing and froing back to the cabin. Our cabin was on the No. 2 deck and was just on the water-line along with the cabins of ...

Never Again

Review for a Greece Cruise on Costa Fascinosa

First Time Cruiser • Age 80s

We had the misfortune to sail on the Costa Riviera one Christmas several years ago and we said "never again", this time I mean never again. Not wholly the fault of Costa who now do not produce an English brochure. We were sold this on a coach tour/cruise idea which sounded excellent. 3400, Italians including 500+ children on a ship of this size does not make for a good holiday for 40 English ...
