Review for a Arctic Cruise on Carnival Pride

Unfortunately food has to be great, with most days, 3 meals a day on board they have to get it right. Carnival Pride, Iceland Trip, August 20, 2023, have failed miserably. This is our 9th Carnival cruise, another booked for December and our 18th cruise overall. We have not encountered worse food, and guests everywhere complaining. Doesn’t seem to matter what food it is, complaints ...

Annoying emails about wheelchair and disembarkation nightmare

Review for a Europe - All Cruise on Carnival Pride

Chose this cruise for its itinerary and price. Guest service kept annoying and harassing me about the wheelchair from day one. I kept explain it was a collapsible wheelchair and that I could still walk to the water shuttles but they kept sending emails and harassing me even after I emailed their president Ms Christine Duffy and after I was already on the ship. Carnival needs to learn how to treat ...

Tired Ship with Poor COVID-19 Hygiene

Review for a Europe - All Cruise on Carnival Pride

Carnival Pride trip to Norway The sights and ports were stunning but the ship is old and needs a complete renovation. Staff were indifferent and at times downright rude. I have never seen so many crew members using their personal phones before and there are not many cheery greetings on board from staff in passing as we have come to expect. The service in main dining room was shocking, ...

Anniversary Cruise was a total disaster

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Norwegian Star

We have cruised on NCL many times, as well as a number of other cruise lines. This has to rate as the worst cruising experience, ever. The only redeeming feature was that we met many friendly fellow cruisers from the US, UK and Germany. Some we hope to remain friends with in the future. The food was poor, in our opinion, and so heavily salted that my wife and I had to ask for no-salt meals. ...

Never Again

Review for a Greece Cruise on Costa Fascinosa

We had the misfortune to sail on the Costa Riviera one Christmas several years ago and we said "never again", this time I mean never again. Not wholly the fault of Costa who now do not produce an English brochure. We were sold this on a coach tour/cruise idea which sounded excellent. 3400, Italians including 500+ children on a ship of this size does not make for a good holiday for 40 English ...

Away with Carnival Legend

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Carnival Legend

First the good points. The cabin was very comfortable and spacious. The bathroom was well appointed and very clean, well stocked with towels and other necessities. The staff were very helpful, chatty and friendly. The lady hostesses on deck 3 of Truffles Restaurant were invariably happy, smiling and very positive. The cabin steward was equally so. Our cabin was kept very clean and tidy. The ...

The tarnished Queen

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Queen Elizabeth

We booked early and later asked for an upgrade as we were in a an obscured view balcony midships. My wife got nowhere with the travel agent and finally contacted Cunard direct. We eventually after much persuasion got an unobscured view balcony at the bow. This was even though they were selling and upgrading others to better cabins. I should have known right from the beginning that this cruise ...

The Big Bang(s)

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Norwegian Sun

User Avatar

First Time Cruiser • Age 80s

We lost several nights of sleep in our interior room because of loud banging and vibration. The sounds were similar to a sledgehammer on steel and happened during rough weather (and we had some). These loud bangs occurred up to 200 times per night depending on size of the waves. The sounds were also heard by several staff members although no solution was ever found. The buffet was miserable. ...

Very little sunshine on the Sun

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Norwegian Sun

This was my first cruise with NCL. We chose it because of the amazing ports in which the ship called; Bergen and Alesund Norway, Shetland Island, Faroe Island, Iceland, Glasgow, Belfast and Dublin. The ports did not disappoint! They were beautiful. Ship: The overall ship was in pretty decent condition considering this cruise was supposed to be a dry dock instead. Overall the ship was well ...

Some plusses, but do they negate the over-riding negatives

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on MSC Poesia

User Avatar

I am a travel agent and I booked this two night break as I had never been on an MSC ship before, and I feel if you are selling a product you should really experience what you are selling to give an honest assessment. We travelled down to Dover (UK) the day before the cruise departed, and I guess the biggest indictment of MSC Poesia is the fact that the meal we had in the local Chinese was vastly ...
