We boarded on March 1 for a B2B that would end in San Diego. Unfortunately due to the pandemic, the 2nd cruise was canceled and we were told we would be disembarking in Santiago, Chile. At that point, we were eager to get home so we really didn’t mind. However...that was not meant to be as Chile refused us docking and to make a long story short we had to sail to San Diego. 17 straight days at ...
Everything onboard Celebrity is always great, but this itinerary was not my favorite. The people onboard were also different as there was a huge mix of Argentina/EU/Americans, etc. People from all over the world that spoke other languages.
Everything in the ports was just far to get to as it is such a remote place in the world. The days of cruising were excellent and would definitely recommend ...
We decided on this cruise because of the itinerary. We had not previously been to this part of South America. We usually cruise Celebrity and enjoy S-Class ships like Eclipse. The ship was very well maintained in all areas but it will be updated in April 2021.
Pre-cruise: We flew Philadelphia/Miami/Santiago on American Airlines. Long trip. We stayed a couple of days in Santiago at Hotel ...
We pretty much do all our cruising on Celebrity ships. We're at the point in our lives where we don't particularly want to go through the hassles of flying so when we found that we could go round trip out of Los Angeles we were delighted.
Embarkation was a breeze. Celebrity has everything very well organized.
We had an accessible Sky Suite. For some reason or other the accessible Sky ...
Penthouse Suite Celebrity Eclipse October 2019
Beautiful suite, friendly crew! We missed the tea time “delights” delivered by the butler. Also fresh flowers, fresh fruit basket and towel animals. When we asked what happened to them we were told it is the new corporate policy.
The crew then delivered the most beautiful arrangement of red roses to the suite. Then came a few days of ...
The first part of the critique here is about the Celebrity experience…
This was our first time sailing with Celebrity. Overall it was excellent across the board, with a couple of notable exceptions. We were traveling with another couple who have previously sailed several times on Celebrity and persuaded us to join them on this trip.
POSITIVES:
BY FAR, the biggest Celebrity Eclipse stand ...
We enjoyed another great cruise on the Eclipse to Alaska leaving from Vancouver. We had two days in Vancouver prior to sailing and one day after. We had a great time in Vancouver and would highly recommend spending a few days in this beautiful city.
This was our first trip to Alaska but it will not be our last. This was one of the most scenic beautiful cruises we have taken. We stayed in a Sky ...
CRITERIA:
We wanted an Alaska cruise that stopped at a truly impressive glacier, that left and returned to the same port, and lasted no more than 7 days due to work/life restrictions. Many of the one-way or 10-day or 14-day cruises have stops at the good northern glaciers, but this Celebrity one was the only RT that was 7 days and stopped at the stunning Hubbard Glacier.
We also had family ...
Traveled with my wife, two daughters (in their 20s), their boyfriends and one of his daughters (9) on the Celebrity Eclipse departing July 7 returning July 14 round trip from Vancouver.
We stayed in Vancouver at JW Marriott Parque for three nights prior to the Sunday departure. We had two full days in Vancouver. I woke up first thing in the morning and walked to the Canada Place Cruise ...
Overall, an amazing cruise. Great weather. Amazing sites. Ship is beautiful and staff really works to keep it spotless. Service was spot on.
Took the train/subway from the airport to the Waterfront stop - super easy and convenient ($8 CAN). Though on a weekday it might be crowded with our luggage (it was Saturday). We stayed at the PanPacific right above the cruise port in Vancouver ...
