We live in western Canada and had FCC to use so decided it made the most sense to sail out of a port that was: a) in the same country we are in, and b) sailing to places that are drivable if there are repeats of the past couple of years and we need to suddenly change plans. So Vancouver to Alaska made the most sense.
We originally booked a Sky Suite on a splurge, then decided to really go ALL OUT (after missing 2 years of holidays including our 25th anniversary) and bid on a Celebrity Suite through the Move Up offer and we were successful. We normally like Aqua Class and have never before been in a suite so this was a real treat.
OVERALL:
We absolutely enjoyed having a separate living room and bedroom. Lots of space to spread out, easy for one to get up early while the other sleeps in. Lots of sunlight streaming in through the balcony door and windows.
Totally spoiled us for the future ...
Beautiful, clean attraction. Very impressed by what they have created in this picturesque part of Alaska. If we didn't have dinner reservations on the ship we would have liked to try some of the local restaurants.
