Because of covid this cruise was delayed 2 years. I told my husband to get his $ back way back when but he did not. So we took the cruise instead of loosing the $. Sailed from Baltimore April 16, 2022 for 10 days. Four of the ten days I had to go downstairs and complain at 5:30 that our room had not been cleaned. No clean towels. The food was a C+- ate off ship whenever we could. Very old crowd- ...
This was our first time on AQV. We chose the Memphis to New Orleans Mississippi cruise.
We stayed at the pre-cruise included hotel, the Sheraton Downtown Memphis, which was a nice hotel directly across from the Trolly station. The trolley costs $2 to ride all day. We took the trolley to Beale Street and enjoyed the afternoon.
Breakfast is included as well, so we had a nice buffet ...

Hello! Thank you for your feedback and kind words. We are thrilled to hear that you enjoyed your time on American Countess. We look forward to welcoming you back aboard!...
First time American Countess cruiser. I am a frequent traveler. Many cruises and adventures. Worst service and attitude from restaurant staff I have ever experienced. Dinner was served cold every night. If you miss lunch no food is available. Do not bother to ask them to replenish Worst experience ever and I have 5 days left. Marketing definitely misrepresented amenities online. Will never return. ...

Hello DAPRiDG! We appreciate the feedback; however, we are disappointed to hear that you did not enjoy your experience aboard American Countess. We will pass your feedback along to the crew....
We had talked about a Mississippi River cruise for years, and finally decided to do it. The cruise lived up to our expectations and then some!
The pre-cruise process was a little confusing and disorganized, but we appreciated the Covid testing, knowing everyone onboard had tested negative. The Peabody may be a grand old hotel, but the rooms are small and the bathrooms even smaller. We were ...

Hi MTMeg! We are so happy to hear that you enjoyed your voyage with us on American Countess. We will pass your feedback along to the vessel. We hope to welcome you back aboard in the future!...
First time trying a Mississippi River cruise after taking over 12 ocean cruises. The itinerary of Memphis to New Orleans was my main reason for choosing this cruise. Flying into Memphis the cruise included an overnight stay at The Peabody Hotel. Took taxi to airport, cost of $39.50 plus tip seemed high but efficient. The Peabody is a grand lady and was glad to stay there but my room extremely ...

We wanted a cruise close to our home in North Carolina and the Great Rivers of Florida on American Cruise Line fit the bill. We cruised the St Johns, ICW and went to Amelia Island and down to St Augustine. While the American Star is one of ACL older ships it was in grand condition. The crew was one of the best we have encountered. Dining was a great experience, Happy Hour was special and gave us ...
The cruise looked good on paper, but the cruise line, treats their senior customers terribly.
The food and staff were excellent.
Embarking and Disembarking was a nightmare. The gang plank was not wide, slippery and sometimes at a 45 degree angle to the ship. Not handicap friendly at all. Last minute room change, after we arrived proved to make the expensive veranda useless, since it was by ...
We went on this cruise because we always wanted to see the Pacific North west. First I want to say this cruise Line advertises that tips and gratuities are included. Therefore no one tips the wait staff or the room stewards. These kids make $7.00 an hour. I talked with several workers plus several supervisors and they said it was true. These kids get zero tips or gratuities. That is false ...
I chose this cruise because a few years ago we went on a American Queen Voyage. It was wonderful. Since it was the same company I thought this would be too. A few days before our voyage they changed our dining time to 7.30. I tried to change it back but they said it was because of the CDC guidelines. (some people did get it changed) They also sent us an email saying that there would be dining in ...
We were really disappointed in this recent December cruise from Nashville to Memphis.
First the many positive things....
The food was really good, ample and varied.
The staff everywhere on the ship were very friendly and helpful, especially the dining room staff.
The ship seemed to be well maintained and clean and safe from the virus.
The evening entertainment was probably above ...
