This is an excellent cruise with the exception of the excursion on Saint Maarten. The Regal princess is not one of the superliners but had all the excellent options typical of a great cruise line.
Do not consider the Flying Dutchman/ Rain Forest Adventure. The staff was unsafe, It will take much longer than planned, the service was disrespectful and I’m surprised Princess sponsored them. Shame ...

For my wife and me, this was our 24th cruise (8th on a Holland America ship). BE FOREWARNED --- if internet access is important to you, you need to choose another cruise line or be prepared to deal with HORRIBLE (virtually non-existent) Wi-Fi service. Family of 5 with two teachers were forced to find a decent deal during Easter break. We liked the iternary on this cruise and the price for this Easter cruise was not obscene so we booked it.

We have previously sailed on Oceania and Crystal and choose HAL as an alternative to the luxury lines we've sailed on previously. We loved the newly updated ship and the size of the Neptune Suite. Not so good dining experience. At the American Icon Restautant, The waiter & assistant waiter were not sensitive to our concerns. The windjammer is always crowded, even tables with signs for handicapped were used by people who were obviously not handicapped but staff looked the other way. We witnessed this staff insensitivity frequently. Not a favorable sight for a ship that says “ROYAL”.

We chose this cruise because it sailed out of New York so we could drive (5 hour drive) instead of fly. The perks of driving are definitely packing whatever you want and don't have to worry about luggage weight limits/ baggage fees. First vacation in a few years with the family. We have parents which are mid 50’s and 2 young adults, 23 and 25. Embarkation was easy but they separate you by terminal even if traveling together in a family. Parents were in the haven and had expedited check in while I and my sister took about 25 mins to get onboard. No big deal.

NCL Epic review. Spring break cruise. My 13 year old loved the teen club. There was a bunch of spring break kids and she loved it. It was the best part of the cruise. The other guests were really nice and everyone was polite and not pushy. Nice group of fellow cruisers.

We live in NYC and love cruising. Cruised before on Celebrity, Disney and Royal Caribbean lines. Mostly from Florida. One time on Celebrity Summit to Bermuda from NJ.
We choose Anthem because if was leaving from NJ (15 min car ride for us), because it was during our daughter's school spring break and because the ship is relatively new.

I wanted this cruise to be better than Carnival and at least approach my first cruise experience with Disney Cruise Lines. It fell short.
Carnival was a "Las Vegas on Water" experience, and it's a great party option for the least amount of money. The accommodations were average, but our service was fantastic.
