We arrived 2 days early so we could explore Stockholm. It was our favorite city on the itinerary! Stockholm is walkable, friendly, and there were many things to see and do.

We opted to walk all over the city! Beautiful, Historic -- took in "Viking Ship" and "Nobel Prize Museum" -- ate lunch in the city. Beautiful weather (July). Just a charming city.

We rushed to get off the ship as soon as possible and took a cab directly to the Vasa Museum. The taxi was expensive (about 40 euros due to some construction!) but well worth it to get to the museum just as it opened. For our first hour there the museum was very quiet, but afterwards it was packed with people and there was a long line of people waiting to enter. This is an amazing museum, a must see! Afterwards we walked around the old town and eventually walked back to the ship. It's a very easy place to just walk around and explore. Read Less

Take bus 76 to the city centre. Don't do the MSC bus. Frihamnen Port is easy to reach from the city, saving you many Euros by avoiding the MSC bus

Stockhom is a great place to come early then embark. The cruise ship terminal is not as nice as it could be-but they worked hard to get us on board as soon as possible.

WE took a taxi directly to the Vasa Museum. They have free tours, and we spent 2 hours there. From there we took a ferry to downtown and walked the old town and saw the Palace. It took the entire day up. We walked back to the boat and they greeted us with a party on the dock. It just shows how this cruise line goes up and beyond all the other cruise lines we have taken.
