We wanted to go on our first cruise after friends and family had shared their experiences on Norwegian Cruise Lines. After much research we chose to cruise around the Baltic Sea for our honeymoon. The service we received was very good and friendly. The ship was clean and well maintained. We liked the pools, hot tubs, and water slides on the ship. The ports gave us a good sample of cities along the Baltic Sea.
I ranked the entertainment lower based on some of the shows. It was hard to hear the singers in the musical over the instruments. Looking at the demographics of the passengers I imagine the plot didn't appeal to most of them either. The singer from the Voice, violinist, and dueling piano players were excellent. We would gladly listen to the last three I mentioned again.
It was not easy for me to find a variety of gluten free meals. I ended up eating similar meals over the nine day cruise. Which is not a big deal, but the rest of the people at my tables had a large variety of delicious looking food. It seemed I kept asking cooks at the buffet who hadn't looked for the gluten free breads before and had to wait while they searched for it. I asked a couple of eating places about a gluten free menu and they didn't offer one. That would be something that would make my next cruise easier.
Our cabin room was very nice. Our housekeeper was eager to help if we needed anything.
We had a great tour of Schwerin and then of the castle.
The Vasa Museum was my favorite place in Stockholm.
