Took shuttle into city center...modern, wide streets, very expensive, hardly any people about...a waste of time. Then boarded the bus to the shopping center we were told was at the Train Station...its NOT...it where the bus lets you off at the dock. Huge shopping center...predictible but if you want to shop there are a few shops you don't see at every city in the world...I bought some nice scarves. Read Less

As stated. Lehavre is crumby. I thought there would be a cruise terminal not a rundown building that looked like a wartime hangar.

A interesting city, with a sad fairly recent past. It is known as a concrete city as so much was rebuild after WW2 using this drab material, including the soaring, bulky cathedral.

Took a cab to and from MuMo, the museum of modern art. Enjoyable art and a quick trip the day after a long day of flights.

We did Paris on our own. Transportation was good and arrived in Paris at a central location with several hours to tour. We were able to see the Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triumph, and Notre Dame with time for a snack at a cafe.

The taxi ride from the cruise terminal to the city center is $8 Euros and takes maybe 10 minutes. It rained cats and dogs and what we were not informed of by the cruise line was that the city is closed on Mondays. Really. Closed. They have a few restaurants and bars open and a few odd and ends shops. The flower shop was open and a few grocery stores. Even the drug stores are closed. We walked a good 5 miles in the rain checking places listed on the map. All closed. So, what we experienced was actually ok, even with the rain. But, we didn't get to experience much. Read Less

We took 'Le Petit Train' from the quay for 10 Euros which dropped us off in town. A great choice and a pleasant modern town, though not dominated by skyscrapers.
