Southampton is a very nice port. You can just walk to the city center as well as the train station very easily.

We did not like this port. There is nothing to do in Zeebrugge and most people would go to Brugge.

Very nice port and easy to navigate around. Easy to take public transport for DIY as well.

Very difficult port if you want to do things on your own. Preziosa docks at the terminal that is furthest out and in the middle of nowhere. Best way to go to the city center is by taxi which will cost around 25 euros. Very difficult and time consuming if you want to take public transport. We had some bad experience (when we wanted to ask directions) with some rude people so we don't like this port.

There is not much to do in Le Havre itself. Too much hassle to go to Paris (takes 3 hours)
