We jumped on the cruise as the temprature was to warm in Mallorca. We tried the most upgraded class available which was Aurea as this should have priorities. When embarking the ship - no pri. Only pri for extra cost was free seating time during dinner. My daughter has nut allergy and we ate at the specialty restaurant and informed. They served dessert with nuts and we needed to give treatment on ...
We started from Mallorca. The liner stopped not where it was indicated on the tickets and we ran for an hour under the hot sun to be in time.
The first 5 days were normal. Nothing remarkable. The pools were really full, it was impossible to swim because of the crowd of people. The ship is not designed for such a number of people.
On the 5th day at dinner, my boyfriend was served raw steak ...
First off, I think I owe the previous reviewers an apology! We sailed with Costa previously some years ago and felt very comfortable being English speakers and enjoyed spending time with our European counterparts, we felt that things couldn't be that different and perhaps it was just people not really used to being surrounded by the European Culture. However once boarding we soon realised that ...
MSC was the only cruise line sailing at this time of year in the Mediterranean, so this is what I had to choose. All my previous MSC sailings were bad, and I had said never again MSC.... Well, never never again.
Briefly - ship itself can't be faulted, maybe too much trust in a vessel winning the cruiser. Not so. Officers were non-existent the entire cruise except one brief (5-10 min) appearance ...
First time travelling with MSC and will most likely be the last unless there are changes.
Let's start with the positives, the ship looks great, it's very clean and the majority of the staff are lovely even when they have to deal with a lot of rude customers! The paid 2 circus shows on board are worth the money but why do we have to pay for this? BBC1/BBC2/ITV on the cabin TV was a nice ...
November 2019. Over the last decade, there has been something of a revival in interest and the number of people cruising, and sadly an equal number of operators providing substandard cruises.
Having cruised 8 timespreviously with P&O, NCL, and RCI, we decided a change was needed as the last P&O cruise we took two years ago nearly put us off cruising for life.
We booked the cruise 8 months ...
First things first the food is disgusting, the service is really bad, the workers disturb you 24/7 with food/drink packages even in a middle of your dinner...
The cruise itself is cheap but everything else is expensive
Me and my wife got a reserved table (which cannot be changed) near 6 other strangers we don’t know
You have to wait for about 10 minutes for the lift to arrive
We got a ...
We had been on the Marella Discovery before and even cruises on the sister ship Marella Discovery 2 last year. We decided to go on another cruise with my Parents and my Brother and Siater-in-law for my Parents 50th golden wedding anniversary. It started out ok with the only gripe was we were not able to book the Surf and Turf speciality restaurant on the day we embarked (11/10/2019), as we missed ...
Been on Marbella Explorer Oct 2018 excellent couldn’t fault anything 1st ever cruise so this year go on Discovery Oct 4th to 18th smelt Diesel Fumes on embarking on ship Booked Delux Balcony Cabin 7th deck very disappointed only one bar of soap and a shower gel balcony tiny not as big as Explorer though paid the same price the biggest let down was the constant smell of Fumes my husband was poorly ...
Sadly where do I start .
We had booked a deluxe cabin and to our shock we saw no deluxe at all, the windows were that bad we could hardly see out of them. The shower was that small with a shower curtain, not deluxe to me. No toiletries apart from a small soap and shower cream canister.
we enjoy going to the restaurant , only the first night was the best after that we were rushed every night ...
