Review for MSC Divina to Europe - Western Mediterranean

We chose this cruise because of the places it visited in the western med and we heard it was suitable for kids. It was not...! Things got off to a bad start when we boarded. Staff were fighting among themselves to get their commission on drinks package sales. We went up to the kids club and found out it couldn’t be used for several hours until safety drills and completing a 3 page waiver per ...

Staff was kind and helpful, very clean. Cabin and corridors are cleaned daily. Restaurants on 5 and 9 floor was cleaned permanently. We were informed about everything by daily news. Very nice. Information desc was available all time. It was possible to eat 7 am - 10 pm. But in case of trip outside of ship, from 3,30 pm to dinner time, nothing to eat except cakes and bagetas. Nothing for ...

First time with MSC

Review for MSC Divina to Mediterranean

We chose it because the date and itinerary suited our needs. It was our third cruise and the first with MSC. The greatest impact was the volume level of the other passengers. My goodness, the Italians are LOUD!!!! They came mob-handed in big family groups (too many pushchairs) and they have no volume control. They screech at each other at the top of their voices. They also have no concept ...

Relaxing, a good value for money cruise. Very enjoyable.

We choose this cruise because of its length (7 nights), the itinerary Civitavecchia, Palermo, Caglari, Palma de Mallorca, Valencia, Marseille, Genoa, Civitavecchia, and the cost. Overall, we found it excellent value for money. Before getting into the cruise itself, I found the MSC website quite poorly designed - it was not smooth to use and required multiple visits. It also failed to answer ...

Noisy Ship

Review for Costa Fascinosa to Mediterranean

We have travelled several times with the Costa. Always with great satisfaction, but this ship is really awful. Crowded with shouting and screaming children. What a terrible noisy and badly runned ship. Everything is concentrated on the Italians, while there are so many different nationalities on board. But that does not count on this ship. Food in the restaurant was not well prepared. The buffet ...

First time with Costa Cruises. The ship and accommodation was magnificent. The entertainment in the theatre and by the Latin dance team was excellent. Room cleaning was good. Bar waiters do not harass you to buy drinks, they ask once and place a napkin on your table to signify to other waiters that you have been dealt with. However, I thought Costa let themselves down in several ways. 1. On ...

The food in the dining room and the lunch buffet had excellent food. A buffet option should also be available. I have to say that the dining experience was not very pleasurable in several ways. The last night, the entree didn't arrive until one hour and twenty minutes had passed. The shortest time for the entree to arrive was 55 minutes. I have to say that I ate much wonderful Mediterranean ...

Review for Costa Pacifica to Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

Bullied into paying 15% 'service charge', for drinks ; is too much, considering you are charged 48.00 euros each for 'service charge' with the final invoice. This is on top of extortionate prices for drinks - 20.00 euros for a white table wine, plus 15% plus daily 'service charge', or 43.48 euros for a nice-ish white chardonnay, plus 15% plus daily 'service charge'. Water is also included with ...
