This was our first cruise and first trip to Alaska and it was the most wonderful trip.
The ship is lovely and spotless. It took us 20 minutes to go through the process and get onboard. No issues or problems, it was a breeze.
We ate at the buffet, main dining room, Murano and Tuscan. All were very good with the exception of Tuscan. I think that was because we loved Murano so much.

This ship knows how to do customer service. I'm elite on this cruise because of being diamond on Royal Caribbean. I always order flowers for my cabin---well on this cruise I did that and the Captain's Club also sent me a vase with a rose on 2 orcaids. I was also invited to go on the Heli Pad going thru Tracy Arm. 30 cruises and I've never done that.

The Solstice is well appointed and the staff generally great. The Captain was an amazing navigator thru the Tracy Arm which turned out to be a trip highlight. There did not seem to be announcements in the rooms, so we may have missed out on some information. We enjoyed this cruise but something that almost ruined it for us was the ship's shaking. Especially when using front thrusters. We thought something was going to break! Our drinks in the Sky lounge were shaking off the table. A bent prop or something and I feared for the safety of the ship. I know this is not normal because I didn't experience this anywhere else.
