We chose Celebrity because of long and frequent previous experience.
To begin : embarkation in Barcelona was the worst we ever experienced. Despite our Elite statute we stood in line for 50 minutes. One man fainted in another line.
Cabin with balcony very much alike to other cabins on ships of this class.
Excellent steward (Francesco) . Very attentive and efficient.
We have no ...
In almost 40 years of cruising, this was a unique cruise experience which I can't really explain but I will try.. The travel terminal in Buenos Aires was not set up for a cruise ship and the number of passengers boarding... I think the word chaotic would best describe it well. Probably not Celebrity's fault, but really, couldn't they have done their homework and foreseen this a year ago?

After other cruises we found this really disappointing especially for a maiden voyage. The Ship was quite underwhelming although the pool was a decent size. The atrium was rather plain & small and was often overcrowded. The cabin was quite good but the balcony on the aft was quite small. The classic drinks package did not include most of the drinks on the menu; so much so that after 3 days I ...
My husband and I generally try to cruise the Caribbean at this time each year as a getaway from the cold northeast and the pre-holiday hustle and bustle. This was a wonderful cruise. The ship was beautiful (of course). Embarkation was very quick. We arrived at the port and were on board within about 5 minutes (10:30 AM port arrival). As we arrived at the port the heavens opened up in a torrential ...
Beautiful new ship, lots of new concepts, but they forgot the old ones that worked. It is a fresh new ship, the infinite veranda rooms were very nice bathrooms clean and good sized. The art work was amazing on the ship, food was good. The entertainment was a new concept for most cruise ships we have been on and in all honesty failed. There are only two areas to sit and talk on decks 3 and 4 and ...
We heard so much about Celebrity so we decided to try the Inaugural cruise of the Edge. It was a beautiful ship but you needed to have your I phone hooked up to everything to appreciate where you are and where everything is. The Captain was nowhere to be found. Not at the shows even to introduce himself You only heard from him in the morning on the PA system. No big deal being on the ...
We made a late decision to take this cruise after finding it was available at very attractive rates, and booked an Aqua class cabin mid-ship. Aside from cost, we were intrigued by the itinerary -- Buenos Aires to Cape Horn and back, with a variety of ports in Argentina, Uruguay and Chile, plus a number of at-sea days for relaxation.
We've cruised Celebrity several times before, and appreciate ...
Wow! What a ship! We booked the Edge the very first day her sailings became avbl and followed the progress of the build for the last 18 or so months. We had seen so many pics and wondered if we would be disappointed as often happens when something is hyped so much. But from the moment we walked aboard, we were wow’d!
We live in Sarasota, Florida so it was a quick drive to Port Everglades. ...
We are long time cruisers but have never done a maiden voyage before and were very excited to be doing this one on a new ship that was supposed to have many updated features.
The ship decor, art, cabins, and public spaces mostly lived up to the hype. This is a well designed ship!
Embarkation was a breeze because we used their app to check in. Use that if you can, but we were quite ...
Cruise 12/9 to 12/16 Inaugural cruise. Celebrity missed the ball. First they had individuals design everything that have never cruised. Beautiful ship but will never hold up to 3000 cruisers per week. Already shows serious wear and tear. Food was average at best. Be prepared to buy the WiFi package because every5hing is done through the app which doesn’t work. No Elite room, our real happy hour ...
