Review for 2 day cruise from Miami to Nassau on the Celebrity Infinity, departed February 22, 2020.
Maybe because it was a 2 day cruise everything seemed condensed or abbreviated. We have sailed in 3 stateroom categories with Celebrity – balcony, Concierge and Aqua class. In my opinion, I would just stay with a balcony room UNLESS the cost difference of upgrading is less the 10%.
This 2 ...
This was our 3 cruise on Celebrity, we sailed out of San Juan and went to 5 different ports, I wish we would have only gone to 4 but the one nice thing is when you are in port, if you choose not to leave the ship you can sit by the pool with out having to jockey for position on the deck chairs! Although people would snag a chair and leave there stuff on it for hours until they returned from port I ...
I will start by saying that we had a wonderful time and will cruise again with Celebrity anytime. But there are always glitches with any vacation.
The check-in procedure was the worst ever because the computers went down and the lines went around the building.I know they did the best the could but they did nothing to help out those who were handicapped and that could not stand for the 45 min. ...
Caveat - this was a quick weekend two-day cruise so it's not the same as a longer cruise. But there were some issues that shouldn't have happened on any Celebrity cruise no matter what the length.
Pros - Infinity is due to be revolutionized this year. We were on Summit this year so it was interesting to compare the two. Even though Infinity is worn the public areas looked great. The ship was ...
First let me thank all of the cruise critic members, especially those on the Celebrity board, who asked so many great questions, and those who provided all the answers. Your efforts aided immeasurably to our experience. THANK YOU! Now onto the review.
My DW and I had never cruised. When we retired 2 years ago we planned a cruise on Celebrity for March 2019. We had never been on a cruise and ...
Beautiful ship. The food and service in all the restaurants was great. We especially enjoyed Le Petit Chef a Quisine. Our stateroom was ample and our cabin service was amazing. He really went out of the way for us! It was a nice group of people on board, very, very few children. On boarding and off boarding on excursions was much smoother than in previous cruises.
The only thing I missed ...
We have traveled with Celebrity often, but this is the first time on Equinox. We’ve been on sister ships. She has been updated with the Retreat amenities and appearance for those in suites. We experienced the usual wonderful service. I’m not happy with the new look for the days’ activities paper. It is in, by time, in sections, and it can be easy to miss things that occur at the same time. ...
Where do I start? We really wanted to like Celebrity, alas it wasn't so. A little background about our cruising history: this was our 6th cruise on 5th cruise line, and first time on Celebrity. Other cruises were on NCL, Princess, RCL, and twice on MSC. We were looking forward to this short weekend cruise on Celebrity Infinity given Celebrity's reputation and accolades. We left thoroughly ...
Staff Great but Ship Needs to Retire
Don't book room 9042, Cabin review follows. Dated, uncomfortable, obstructed view and Aqua Class Bathroom is a joke.
Upon arrival, was astonished at the ease of embarking considering the Corona Virus issue. Didn't seem like much screening and no questions asked. Food just Okay, entertainment bearable. Seems like they hide the talented individual ...
I sailed the Equinox in 2019 and my TA found an amazing deal so we decided to sail again. Embarkation was a hot mess. I never got official word but the buzz was technical issues/computer issues. Lines backed up, but luckily I had priority boarding and was able to skip some of the wait. That meant the gangways onto the ship were packed and slowly moving.
The ship felt empty at times. It would ...
