We chose this cruise for the itinerary, but 5 of 9 ports were skipped (2) or significantly delayed. Shore excursions were just ok, even the ones we purchased were just ok. We got a great deal for a deluxe veranda cabin. It was a perfect way to see countries like Norway, Russia, Poland, Estonia, Denmark, and Sweden that were on our bucket list but would have taken forever to tour as individual trips or by a land tour. The problems were not with the ship or the crew but with the Viking company itself. They need to understand that when you have an emergency phone number for guests to call when they need help someone should answer the phone. Or how about the fact that they make plane reservations for guests and have people arriving at 6am, and have to wait until 2pm (8 hours) until they can access the rooms. ...
