The ship was great, and the crew did wonderful job taking care of the guests.

The problems were not with the ship or the crew but with the Viking company itself. They need to understand that when you have an emergency phone number for guests to call when they need help someone should answer the phone.

Or how about the fact that they make plane reservations for guests and have people arriving at 6am, and have to wait until 2pm (8 hours) until they can access the rooms. The hotel couldn't accommodate the number of people waiting with places to sit.

Another flaw in the system was the emergency evacuation drill. The instructions were to meet in entertainment room on deck 2. There were about 200 guests present. The staff stood on the stage and stated that life vests would be passed out in a real emergency. After talking with several guests we all agreed that in a real emergency the room would be in total chaos. We were not given any information of where we would be sent to board life boats. The most alarming thing was that passing out life vests to the guests would probably be a total disaster, And like other cruise lines that I've been on the lack of information would cause total panic.
