The ship, crew, cabin, and ports were truly wonderful. The experience was tarnished only by the Viking booked flights being non-existent when we arrived at the airport. We were two of 13 cruisers, that I know of, who had to pay for new IcelandAir tickets to get on our return flights after already having paid Viking! There were no IcelandAir desks at the Arlanda airport. We had to speak with SAS reps who could not even sell new tickets. The only way to purchase new tickets was to call Icelandic Air or use their website with less than 1hour before boarding. The quasi Viking reps at the airport had no authority to rectify this. Multiple calls to Viking in CA at 6am on Saturday resulted in voice mail only. This happened this morning (8/12) so there has been no resolution (repayment of airfare) yet. This performance by Viking confirms that Tauck will be my travel partner of choice in the future.

Cabin Review

Cabin Veranda

Beds very comfortable, bathroom very efficient. Small, but large enough for two petite women.
