Large Ship but never felt crowded

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Independence of the Seas

Being frequent sailors on NCL, we had some trepidation in dipping our toe back into RCCL's offerings. We were pleasantly surprised on many, but not all, points. The ship was large, but unlike the NCL Breakaway, it never felt crowded except on sail away. We never encountered the long lines that were common on the Breakaway. We never had a problem finding a deck chair, as long as being right next to ...

Western Med cruise, very impressed. Ship was magnificent. Clean, good staff, food very tasty and lots of options for eating. Facilities were excellent, lots of entertainment of high standard. CATS show was on -have to be honest, did not get what that was all about! Aqua show was fantastic! Best thing for me, waking up in a different port each day and going out to explore. Catch a city bus for ...

I always wanted to cruise the Norwegian Fjords and this cruise suited my available dates. I travelled with my teenage niece who was cruising for the first time - it was my 4th cruise holiday and first one with Royal Caribbean. The ship is impressive overall though, on closer inspection, is showing some signs of wear and tear. I was impressed with cabin size. The evening entertainment was good ...

Very Enjoyable family cruise

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Rhapsody of the Seas

Our family of 6 adults were very pleased with our cruise on Rhapsody of the Seas. First, in terms of any negativity I would acknowledge our cabin and some areas of the ship are a bit basic and jaded in appearance. The Windjammer can be very hectic and a little difficult to get seating but with patience and perseverance an enjoyable meal can be had. Very harsh, expensive and unfair that all ...

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Jewel of the Seas

Celebrating our 50th anniversary we cruised Jewel with a mix of people in their 70s, 40s and grandsons 10 and 15 years old. We liked the itinary and also the size of the ship. We donot like those big mega ships. Our balcony cabin was nice, but some paint was needed on the outside. We knew the bathroom is rather small. The beds were very comfortable. Food in the Windjammer and in the ...

Oasis of the Seas We have been cruising since 1998. We usually cruise on Princess but have also been on Celebrity and Disney. This was our first time on RCCL. We did not choose anything about the cruise, ship, itinerary or time of year. We were invited to join a group of friends. Overall we enjoyed our cruise and the ports we visited. I research heavily on CC prior to a cruise so I’d ...

I'd heard about Royal Carribean and knew it had a good reputation. This was my first cruise. We had a great time! The stops were excellent;even Skagen where there wasn't too much to see, was a nice small town. The excursion to St Petersburg was good, even though it was more expensive than some other providers. The 2 guides were full of information. It would have been better to get to the ...

Excellent Itinerary, Decent Ship

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Serenade of the Seas

We booked this Baltic Sea cruise because of the itinerary, especially because it spent 3 days in St. Petersburg and included a stop in Riga, Latvia (other cruise lines did not stop here). Having been on many cruises, on other cruise lines, here's my impression about RCCL Serenade of the Seas: Check-in and embarkation is a breeze providing you have done all of the registration online and ...

Okay, the good news: yes, it is a cruise. Yes, there is plenty of good food. Yes, the rooms are cool, dark, and comfortable. Yes, the port logistics are pretty solid. Also, the Coastal Kitchen still very much rocks. Now, the nit-picky things: - The Oasis is really starting to show her age, as most of the surfaces in guest rooms are quite warn. - The 14 floor is LOUD. You hear chairs ...

We chose this cruise because of the 3 days in St Petersburg, adding a few days before in Copenhagen, and after with Stockholm, Norway in a nutshell, and Bergen. A long trip. Ports Stockholm Was so Hot! We enjoyed our Steves walking tours and meeting with a friend from home for lunch before he went home the next day. Lots to see and do, ran out of time. Helsinki- cold. Steves walking tour. ...
