Celebrating our 50th anniversary we cruised Jewel with a mix of people in their 70s, 40s and grandsons 10 and 15 years old.

We liked the itinary and also the size of the ship. We donot like those big mega ships. Our balcony cabin was nice, but some paint was needed on the outside. We knew the bathroom is rather small. The beds were very comfortable.

Food in the Windjammer and in the Diningroom was very good. Enough choices on the menu. Our servers, Michelle from the Philipines and Keyshaw from Mauritius were excellent. Always friendly, interested in our taste and often they would bring some special food from the menu for us to taste. They worked very hard, but always enjoyed their work.

Port Reviews

Cartagena (Spain)

Nice charming colonial town. Easy to walk around, ship docks in town.. Also a small toristic train drives around during 1 hour. Also a hopon off bus is offered.

Barcelona

We made a 3 hour city tour which gave a good impression of the town. It included 2 stops with some private time,

Portofino

A small very colourfull village, rather busy with tourists of course. We had to tender to go ashore. Easy to walk around with lots of terraces for drinks and food.

Palma de Mallorca (Majorca)

We rented a car with Arash car rental. They had the car ready at the parking near the cruise terminal where we dropped it off again. We drove to Valldemosa, Deia, Porto de Soller, Soller and Palma town. Easy to do, good routes but some lacked places to stop for photos. We saw some awesome places.

Corsica (Ajaccio)

Also here the ship docks in town. A short walk into the center. Also here a hopon off bus, and a touristic train with 2 different routes. One of 1 hour and one of 1 1/2 hour. Nice restaurants around the port for a good lunch.
