NOT kids friendly, bad food quality, bad room service

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Jewel of the Seas

I would STRONGLY advise you to avoid Jewel of the Seas if you travel with kids, not sure if this is true across all RC cruise ships. Babies/toddlers have to be potty trained to use the pools, while in the US they can get in the public pools with swim diapers. Pool water is super cold. To get towels, you will have to walk to the front side of the ship from the kids pool in the back of the ship, on ...

NOT Family friendly. Miserable experience.

The Jewel of the Seas advertises child care and babysitting, in addition to family friendly activities on the ship (kid pool, etc). What they don't mention anywhere online is that your children need to be over the age of three and fully potty trained to take advantage of any of these. We paid to for two children (both under three) to join us on this cruise, expecting to be able to take advantage ...

We are have been Loyal Royal Caribbean cruisers for many years, this was our 7th in 7 years and we were thoroughly disappointed. My mum is elderly and requires extra help to get around and our problems began right at the beginning months before travelling, trying to confirm assistance with airport and ship transfers. The department within Royal Caribbean had to be emailed and chased and phone ...

This is the first cruise and it will be the last. I feel terrible bringing my parents and my pregnant wife along to this cruise on the Royal Caribbean, Jewel of the Seas. FOOD: For 9 nights we experienced terrible food that was all frozen, not fresh and tasteless. We ended up eating in the buffet most nights as that food was actually slightly better than all the "fine dining" restaurants on ...

Being a platinum member of RC, having sailed already for 47 nights before this cruise only on royal Caribbean, I must say: food quality has been decreasing rapidly state room cleaning very poor overal animation, very poor bartenders not very polite takes for ages to get your drink premium waters almost unavailable ( Evian, Perrier or San peligrino) when you ask some one to ...

This is my sixth cruise and second this year on Royal Caribbean. The first one this year was on Allure of the Seas in a Sky Class Suite and this most recent cruise was also in a Sky Class Suite. The ship, room and room steward were great. In fact the whole crew was really outstanding. Most of our meals were in the Suite Lounge or specialty restaurant and other than Jamie’s all food and service ...

This was our first cruise and our last. We are not big people but we found our stateroom to be very cramped. Our legs were covered in bruises from trying to squeeze past the oversized bed. Our first night in the main diningroom was a disaster. We waited over 40 minutes for a glass of wine. When we complained we were told that food takes priority. Food? What food? We were waiting for that as well. ...
