I would STRONGLY advise you to avoid Jewel of the Seas if you travel with kids, not sure if this is true across all RC cruise ships. Babies/toddlers have to be potty trained to use the pools, while in the US they can get in the public pools with swim diapers. Pool water is super cold. The Jewel of the Seas advertises child care and babysitting, in addition to family friendly activities on the ship (kid pool, etc). What they don't mention anywhere online is that your children need to be over the age of three and fully potty trained to take advantage of any of these. This is the first cruise and it will be the last. I feel terrible bringing my parents and my pregnant wife along to this cruise on the Royal Caribbean, Jewel of the Seas.

Being a platinum member of RC, having sailed already for 47 nights before this cruise only on royal Caribbean, I must say:
food quality has been decreasing rapidly
state room cleaning very poor
overal animation, very poor
bartenders not very polite
takes for ages to get your drink
