The Jewel of the Seas advertises child care and babysitting, in addition to family friendly activities on the ship (kid pool, etc). What they don't mention anywhere online is that your children need to be over the age of three and fully potty trained to take advantage of any of these. We paid to for two children (both under three) to join us on this cruise, expecting to be able to take advantage of the childcare/activities. NO. The adventure ocean program is only for children over the age of 3 and fully potty trained. We asked about babysitting and were told the only time available was from 10:30 - 12:30 at night. NOTHING during the dinner hour, so we could not enjoy the formal dinners. On top of all of this, the pools (even the supposedly kid friendly pools) don't allow children who are not 100% potty trained (no water diapers allowed). So -- rather than the relaxing vacation we payed thousands of dollars for, we were stuck watching the kids 100% of the time on a ship where we were not allowed to do anything with them. It was miserable. There were several times I literally cried, and I am not a crier. Miserable experience.
