Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Norwegian Gem

We chose this cruise for its itinerary. The ship was stopping in Egypt, Israel and ending in Istanbul Turkey. We were interested in seeing the Pyramids in Cairo and touring Jerusalem then spending some time in Istanbul at the end of it. Due to some very unfortunate circumstances we were unable to stop in Israel so we had an extra sea day. We covered 3 continents, Africa, Asia & Europe in this ...

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Celebrity Beyond

We’ve always loved Celebrity and last year booked a back to back for this year but won’t rush to come on Celebrity again certainly NOT Beyond. It’s definitely now a 2 class ship. Retreat passengers have a totally different experience. If you’re on Classic drinks package you have to pay EXTRA for WATER! One of our group drinks no alcohol and couldn’t get still or sparkling water unless she paid ...

Our most challenging cruise and trip to date!

Our Most Challenging Cruise and Trip to Date: 22 days from Rome to Israel In November 2019, we had been on a wonderful B2B cruise in the western and eastern Mediterranean on the MSC Grandiosa and the NCL Spirit. We were excited to return to Israel to see more sites and experience history and culture, so we booked the NCL Epic from Nov 3-15, 2022. This 2022 cruise was far more challenging than ...

Review for a Greece Cruise on Emerald Princess

Choose this cruise to experience Greece and its food, drink and culture. The good is that Princess did an awesome job on embarkment (no wait) and disembarkment. Excursion organization and cleanliness, and great staff. It couldn’t have been any better. I rated 4 stars because I wouldn’t take this cruise again. It was boring. Entertainment was for older people ( we were a party of 8 in our late ...

Review for a World Cruise Cruise on Sirena

We recently returned from an eleven day cruise from Rome to Venice on the Oceania's Sirena. We picked this cruise because of the itinerary. The Oceania did an excellent job of getting to every port as scheduled so we had ample time at each port to explore. My only complaint is that we tendered twice, and the tender boats were very uncomfortable with no fans and very hot. We have been on ...

Holland America Info Services

Review for a Greece Cruise on Oosterdam

Holland America’s greatest flaw is not providing enough accurate information. This is not a new problem. We have observed this on all our HAL cruises. Celebrity does a much better job. There are so many ways that the information services could be improved. For example: •Put the port talks on the TV like you used to. We can’t always attend in person. •If you list port information on the ...

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Silver Muse

The itinerary of the three legs was the reason for booking this cruise. We also looked at Regent but Silverseas itinerary was more to our liking. As much as we liked being so catered to, it was hard to socialize with fellow passengers or even to run into them again. I thought the casino left a lot to be desired and didn't have much of a pulse. I personally would like to see maybe more of an ...

Beautiful and modern ship, with just a few kinks to work out

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Silver Muse

We recently sailed on Silver Muse from Rome to Venice, for 12 nights. This was our first “real” Silversea cruise (we had previously been on an expedition cruise with them to the Galapagos and loved it). Overall, we enjoyed our experience but there were high points and low points. Let me start with the high points. The ship itself is beautiful. We had a Superior Verandah Suite on the ninth ...

Review for a Greece Cruise on Celebrity Reflection

This was a 10 night Italy and Greek Isles cruise. Let me first say, our suite was amazing. We were on Deck 10 (Room 1122) conveniently located near the elevators just outside the library. The suite was spacious and comfortable and soundproof when we were in the room. Our deck was large with a table, chairs and a chaise lounge and we used it as often as we could. Our Butler Nikola was the a ...

Star Legend in Europe for 16 Days

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Star Legend

This is our first sailing on Windstar Cruises - we chose the Star Legen - a 212 passenger vessel previously owned by Seabourne - the renovations are great - all staterooms are oceanview large suites - a few with balconies. These are not typical balconies - the door slides open and lead to a French Balcoony - we loved it - you are seated on comfortable chairs and a sofa - (not plastic or ...
