This was my first time to cruise with Regent and was unimpressed. On the whole the service was good but felt they had a lot of new staff being trained.

I am a Sapphire level cruiser with NCL. I have enjoyed cruising with them for years. I chose this cruise because I was in Brazil at the time and the cruise departed from Rio de Janeiro. We chose this cruise because of the itinerary. Ports were fantastic and weather was great. Smooth seas at their best.
The ship is a different story. Dining room service was extremely slow. One night we waited over 1 1/2 hours before being served and the excuse was "The kitchen is backed up" Hard to believe at 5:30 PM--open seating.

went to BRAZIL, URUGUAY & ARGENTINA. it was all good
EXCEPT Im not a fan of NCL. Food is ONLY okay, excursions are waaaaaay overpriced, employees selling CRUISE NEXT are not upfront with the fine print so I canceled and I truly think its despicable that the beverage packages are soooooooooo overpriced. Early 2016, Queen Victoria, Fort Lauderdale to San Francisco via the Panama Canal, great cruise, great service, could not wait to book a cruise on this vessel for 2017.

Choose Princess as embarking in Rio. Spent 4 great days there before cruise. Embarkation was the start of the nightmare. Arrived at our assigned time of 4 PM to find a huge room full of people who had been there all day.
