Our cruise departure from NYC was delayed by 2 hours due to the previous cruise experiencing “bad weather.” We were scheduled to be in Bermuda Tuesday-Friday morning. On Monday we were told we would not be in Bermuda until Wednesday due to the rough seas and we recieved a lousy $100obc per cabin. Seas were rough going down, 85mph winds and 45ft seas. On Wednesday morning when we docked, we ...
Food was great, staff were nice and friendly. We had a good time. The cruise director & captain were funny and witty. I’m giving them 2 stars because of the “Kids Zone”, our trip was predicated on having our 3-yr old go to splash zone while we attended our specialty dining, gambling and occasional drinks, however the staff and policies at the Kid Zone (splash zone) were horrible! ) they wouldn’t ...
This cruise is my 23rd cruise (not all with NCL), it is my first post pandemic cruise with NCL. Our cruise to Bermuda was a much needed vacation.
Booked an Aft Balcony (no regrets there).
Embarkation: Received an email the night before not to arrive at my 9:30 am scheduled check in time :( but rather between 3pm and 6pm. This was upsetting as I always consider my cruise to have started the ...
Just letting anyone going on the getaway know we got to visit bermuda 1.5 days and spent the rest on the ship. We hit the worst weather going down- people vomiting everywhere- all over the ship- 28 foot swells and 75 mph winds. That mammoth ship was jumping out of the water- only to leave bermuda early and crawl home… less than 10 knots per hr and arriving in nyc early. The time didn’t add up. ...
First I want to acknowledge there were aspects of this trip that were out of NCLs control- very rough seas, day late to Bermuda, incoming cruise was delayed.
That’s where it stops. This cruise was RAMMED. An absolute mess. I do not understand how this boat is allowed to have this capacity. The first day was miserable, hours waiting for the rooms to be ready, my luggage was lost, the bed was ...
This is a terrible ship if you are at all sensitive or averse to cigarette smoke. The casino is the center point of the ship and you have to pass it if you want to eat or shop etc. It’s just a floating casino don’t be fooled. I had to stay in my stateroom a lot to avoid the smoke.
The theater and library/game room are tiny for the amount of passengers. Not much w/o an extra fee for ...
Okay, we finished our cruise a couple of weeks ago, but I promised myself I would write one up after reading all of the others, especially the negative ones. My wife and I are not experienced cruisers, with the last one being approx 25 years ago. But, one of our sons is stationed on Oahu, so we figured that after seeing the grandkids for a week, a cruise would be a great way to experience the rest ...
This ship isn't meant for any bad weather. You feel EVERY wave and they often miss ports due to the inability to stabilize. Also, there are no adult only hot tubs so you better love sitting with kids packed in and splashing. The shows weren't worth the time. The comedian just complained about his ex wife at both shows. The swimming with pigs was terrible. Expect to walk several miles to get to ...
We're not among those that are habitual cruisers. At 62, we've probably been on 15 in our lifetime. We like the convenience once in a while and just the ease of travel and leisurely feel. Have been on Cunard, RC, and Celebrity. This is our 2nd with Norwegian (first was right before pandemic in Hawaii). While I'd say the lines overall are similar, Norwegian is probably my least favorite. ...
There is something definitely wrong on this ship. I got a stomach virus after 3 days of sailing and was put in isolation. After taking my medicine, I barely are for the subsequent 3 days. And, I got the bug, again. I traced my problem to a common denominator: Caesar Salad. The Captain ordered that crews must serve passengers in the buffet area. We aren't even allowed to get water by ourselves. ...
