Our cruise departure from NYC was delayed by 2 hours due to the previous cruise experiencing “bad weather.” We were scheduled to be in Bermuda Tuesday-Friday morning. On Monday we were told we would not be in Bermuda until Wednesday due to the rough seas and we recieved a lousy $100obc per cabin. Seas were rough going down, 85mph winds and 45ft seas. On Wednesday morning when we docked, we were notified all aboard was Thursday at 5:30pm with departure at 6pm instead of Friday morning. Again we received a lousy $100obc per cabin. Going home the seas were rough, but not as bad on Friday but it couldn’t be any calmer on Saturday. We were down to 7 knots on Friday and got into NYC early. BE CAREFUL with obc as we learned it can’t be applied to casino charges but they don’t tell you that! All outdoor decks were closed most of the trip forcing 4,000 people indoors. Everything was overcrowded and you couldn’t get near the bars or venues. Lines for first come shows were 2 hours long! The buffet was standing room only for multiple meals. They closed the buffet earlier than they should have between meal changes. Taste, Savor, and the Tropicana Room (the main dining rooms) had the same dinner menu for 4 days! 1900 kids were on board and they were out of control with no parental supervision. Banging in both cabins between us the whole trip all day/night. Running up and down the halls all day/night. There was a domestic dispute in the cabin next to us at 2:30am on night one.

I have friends on the current cruise with the same itinerary. We were told by staff that they were going to change the itinerary to one night in Bermuda, and one night in Nassau, Bahamas because of “bad weather” but not tell them until after they leave port. I confirmed this to be true. There is an app called marine traffic and I tracked the getaway’s position. They went to Bermuda on the track they were supposed to, not like us who hugged the coast. The current cruise also recieved a 20% refund.

It is impossible to contact NCL after your cruise. I think NCL scams people and gets away with it. We will never cruise again!
