Ship was over 4 hours late departing. Check in was a disaster, took 3 hours of waiting in lines to board the boat. Also, parking was $315 for the week. Food is beyond terrible. Received a text while already in nyc saying there was a technical error with the ship preventing the prior cruise from getting to port on-time. My 10am check in was changed to 3-6pm. The lines were horrible, stood in the line for over 3 hours with no bathroom accessibility or seats. Food was cold and tasteless. We went to the Shanghai Noodle bar expecting fresh hot food and delicious delicate spring rolls. Food was barely warm and the springrolls were more like eggrolls. I have been on 14 cruises (4 Disney, 4 NCL, 3 Carnival, 2 Tradewinds catamarans, and 1 Costa). I am most disappointed with NCL. The service has gotten worse. I do like the NCL’s ports I’ve sailed (Bermuda, Mexican Pacific, Western Caribbean and Hawaii) but I would have had a better experience visiting those ports with another cruise line, or even sticking to resorts and getting a rental car. NCL is going down the drain. Disorganized embarkation. People running everywhere. Was told to leave luggage at the curb. 2 Pieces of luggage arrived at 5 pm the 3rd one at 10 pm.
